But the pants which i was charged is also polyester! And its $90... So for a start i dun really get whats the diff btn theirs and those tailors who do like $90 for 3...

But then i cant get any shirts or pants of my size of racks like that, no size lor... :(
Shirts for $95 if they come swee swee, i dun mind. But pants i might think again if i need to make another pair... :p
diff kind or mix of polyester?
my pants from tessuti is made from rayon
think $120 for wool cant rem.
fabrics also can have diff grades and types... cotton itself theres many types, single ply, two ply, egyptian, oxford etc
some can be mixed like cashmere+wool, cotton+polyester
y dont u clarify the exact fabric with the tailor before u order since u feel so heartpain when ordering?
well just think of it this way, for office wear most ppl wear black pants. most ppl only need 2 or 3 of these depending on how frequent u wash. as long as u take decent care while washing/ironing and u dont gain a lot of weight these 2 pants can last u pretty long
if they look good, feel good, y not? besides, u're wearing them like 9-10hrs a day 5 days a week
its not like casual wear whereby u can have a few pair of jeans, couple of chinos, couple of berms etc yet u only wear them at night or weekends
just my POV... but don't mind me...
if u have a tailor who can do shirts at 2 for $100 and pants for 3 for $100 and u like the designs and fitting and fabrics, by all means go ahead

y do ppl buy branded clothing? say for eg. dolce & gabbana suits? u pay for the branding yes, but u also pay for the sheer and exquisite fabrics they use which u dont find at G2000
oh yes, do note when tailoring shirts, cotton is not like polyester shirts whereby they are pretty wrinkle resistant. sometimes the type of cotton and/or the designs on the fabric will make the fabric crease easily when worn.

Actually as long as the cutting fits what i have in mind, i am quite ok with the price. :D
We shall see in 2wks time.

Btw, guys. Where do u all usually buy your working shoes?
Coz my shoe size quite small. I am a 37.5 or 6. I went to quite a few places like Tangs and even bata and OG. But none of them have such small sizes... :(

So i always have to be extra careful with my working shoes. coz if they do break on me, thats it!:(

A bit off-topic but probably for the same ppl here. Anyone try the shoes from walkingtall? The shoes there supposed to have add 6-10cm hidden heels. I will not say I am under-height. But will be good to have additional height.

yes it's possible... should cost between $15-20 or so
how much can be altered depends on the jacket itself
G2000 jackets use fake buttons so its fairly simple to shift the buttons
sometimes u get jackets with working buttons ie. button with the button holes
these can be more complex and usually cant be altered as much without looking wierd/ugly
for these jackets with working buttons, u may like to alter from the top of the sleeve. ie. the shoulder joint area. this should cost abt $30-40
but again, u may not be able to alter that much as it may not be able fit your upper arms

body length can also be altered but very few places will be willing to do so as its WAY too much of a hassle

icyspawn: is it possible to alter the length of sleeve from the top of the sleeve? cos i seek advice from some some alteration booths. they told me not possible cos if they cut off from the top of the sleeve, the diameter of the sleeve become smaller and cant fit back to original diameter of the body. unless the sew up the body diameter to match up but it will make the shirt tighter at the armpit area. so they advice me to alter from the end of sleeve where they will dismantle the cuff and cut away den reattach back the cuff.

seems like u are talking about shirts... i would assume that jackets and shirts are similar...
yes it is possible, however as mentioned, certain parts may be slightly tighter(namely the upper arms and arm pit)
most ppl alter from the cuffs unless u need to alter quite a fair bit then u may wanna alter part from the cuff part from the top of the sleeve

dont bother altering body length. Too much hassle, and ruins the shape of the blazer / jacket.

Generally, suit jackets / blazers are only altered with the sleeves and the torso(if you want to pinch the sides).
