I prefer functionality over form.
My messenger can fit anything except my shoes, have to carry a shoebag just for that. :(

I can't do the same for my briefcase or portfolio which is a huge pain imho.

I not very sure why so many people like messengers bag.

why don't consider getting a tote bag or duffle, ... can hold many items and won't look like "carry Crumpler go schooling" or "Ninja Turtle" look.

How's the modern fit pants from g2k? Better than the straight fit from topshop?

I agree!!!
But the shoes are kinda pricey to me.
I have yet to pay more than $100 for my working shoes and the prices at CK Tangs rarely go below $300.

I definitely got all my shoes for under $300. I will not buy a pair of shoes that cost > $200. I got mine normally at 50% or more discount, so that means if the original price is $499, I got them at 70% off. If $299, I got them at 50% off.

These made in italy shoes have great designs. I think some of them are hand-crafted. One look at the leather sole and you probably know.

then u can stick to ur usual brands which i reckon its the like of pedro / aldo.. lol....

IMO i think Tangs have increase their variety over time...and during sale, one can get pretty decent discount 30 - 70% for their made in italy but seldom heard of brands...

rowland brothers, tangs in house brand library are some of the shoe brands i will keep a look out during sale..

+1 on the tang shoes range .... u will see shoes from 100 odd right up to 600 plus. And they are pretty decent .... much better than the pedros and aldos i feel

Cheers :)

Anyone know where to get slim-fit or slim cutting business pants? So far Metro and Topman that I have heard of. Please share.

Thanks :D

Alot of expats carry messengers.
It's the norm in the West.

Asians are more conscious about how they look.

To me, it smacks of pure hypocrisy.

IMO it's not so much the type of bag. It's the material the bag is made of, and the design(colours/detailing).
It's like saying a black pair of jeans as fit for formal wear... simply because it covers your entire leg and it's black.
