So far only zym (Singtel MVNO) have VOLTE. But face many issues in the first few days, so maybe other Singtel MVNO are holding back the upgrade
Already left less than 12 days liao still no implement. Later got teething problem.

I will not be surprised when 3G is still running after July. VoLTE is just a call feature yet some telcos made it like some premium function and kept it out of MNVOs.

most likely mobile 3G will be shut down on after 31 July. Only those POS machines, paywave NETs machine which are majority on 3G, will remain on 3G for awhile before the transition. i still see quite alot 3G connection. That is the reason why sometimes when we paywave, it took so long

Fellows, I have a qn:
say I dun play games (dun need low latency) and my use case is remote meeting, normal netsurfing, netflix streaming no torrenting, what's stopping me from getting a MVNO such as Zero1 and putting it into a LTE router and replacing my ISP BB, with a "telco" MVNO?

Generally the speed is worse when you use mobile data as a hotspot in a Mi-Fi router and ping is much higher as well compared to fibre broadband. All these can be felt as lag in real world performance. During peak hour, mobile data speeds is also significantly throttled thus making the experience even worse as everything will load super slowly. You can simply try for a few days/weeks using hotspot data from your phone for all your home internet needs and see if it's bearable to you.

nothing stopping you :) Just try it out and see if performance is acceptable .

i did that for a few months during covid when the telcos could not install fibre at my new place (moved in just before lock down).

At that time, was on TPG free trial. used an old android phone (Redmi Note 2) for USB tethering to my router, to replace the WAN connection. Hence, no change to internal LAN setup. No complaints from the rest of the family.

not the fastest speeds, but no torrenting, just streaming, casual internet use, and zoom meetings, online classes.

Any traffic shaping even for your "normal" casual internet use? I wonder if they (MVNO/even the big 4) detect the usage pattern like a home BB, they will throttle until insane?

they could, but whether they do is more a matter of either policy, or reaction to load feedback/complaints. hard to predict without trying. in my case, i used TPG during the trial, so that worked in my favour. I've occasionally used gomo when there is downtime/maintenance, and no significant throttling observed. as always, YMMV. cheers

Like others had said, the speed is worse than broadband due to throttling and lower average speeds.
Besides that, broadband is usually more stable and reliable which is better for streaming, downloads and multi devices even if no gaming is involved.
Mobile data is only better in the sense of portability.

So now it seems that the implementation of VoLTE for Zero1 will be delayed as the SingTel 3G shutdown has been delayed to November? :s22:
