Actual weight of the surface box (64gb inc cover) is 1.8kg
I paid 91S$ with vpost for shipping and GST...~30$s of that was shipping.
unless you ordered 8 pieces, can't be 14,5 kg...

the kg referring to the volume weight... means they put your tablet in a box that can carry 14.5 kg things...

inside the box probably full of the bubble stuffing...

Nope, volumetric weight is only 1.2kg...Microsoft sends it in a super-sleek box. No bubbles ;-)

As mentioned before: yes. International multivoltage transformer (takes 110-240V) and charges the thing to the brim in just 2hrs :-D

Anyone managed to get onto wireless@sg on their surface?

can connect, but icellwireless page isn't automatic popup...can navigate there and login BUT...
still does negotiate an IP address...cannot browse etc...

If you are touch typist, get the Type cover. Else get the Touch cover which is thinner and lighter.
