does anyone know how to get my hands on a surface pro when microsoft launches it next year? :/ i know that singapore doesn't sell them because there isn't a microsoft store in singapore. ): is anyone batch shipping the surface pro?
even if they open in singapore the price will be much more expensive than US
but talking about running these applications...
i'm a little apprehensive, as we all know autocad/photoshops can be pretty resource intensive even on desktops.
even my lousy i5 ultrabook had problem when coding or running emulators on the default 2gb ram with some other background applications. it was already running at 90+ %. in the end i upgraded the ram to 8gb and everything was smooth.
so if the pro comes as announced at 4gb, that may not be enough or maybe JUST only.
you should be aware that changing ram modules is as easy as 123 right? ^^
of course i'm aware. LOL
i've changed RAMs for my own desktop and laptops.
as surface is pretty new and I've not touched it or seen the disassembled surface yet...i'm not sure how easily it's to swap the ram. plus, the surface is quite compactly built.
You really think that changing the ram on the Surface is going to be as easy as 123?you should be aware that changing ram modules is as easy as 123 right? ^^
Hmmm....so u mean those shipped the RT in already are idiots?of course it would be more expensive if you were to go to US and buy it. but if you imported it from the US and ship it over here to singapore, surface RT is already costing >900SGD, including tax and shipping fee. i highly doubt that if a store were to be set up in singapore, it would cost more than 900 for an RT. i guess it should be around, high 700SGD to low 800SGD, for a 499USD version.

Don't think MS has international warranty.Hey i was wondering if i were to buy the surface pro from the us and ship it here, and were to spoil one day then how am i going to get the surface fixed? Through microsoft singapore's office or ship back to U.S.?
