Finally, after many months of using the SP3 (i7 8GB RAM 256 SSD) the touchscreen is no longer working with my finger touch. It works well with the pen though.

Reset the SP3 (with no 3rd party softwares and Office 365 installed) and still didn't work.

Apparently, S'pore do not have a service centre and technical support is through the call centre in the Philippines. Only an exchange centre is available.

Have to go through the call centre to generate an exchange order before can proceed for the exchange here.

Now waiting for the call from the exchange centre leow

Have to collect personally at the exchange centre after they call you

Really wasted my few hundred dollars on the glass protector and protective colorful laminations on the SP3

Did u go through Surface Support? For me, I got 1 to 1 exchange via courier. Courier picked up my faulty unit and send a brand new one to my doorstep about a week later.:)

I'm not sure about the call centre but I`m served by mostly UK support representatives.

I called up technical support and it routed me to a call centre in the Philippines where I have to talk for hours before able to get a replacement......and that will be 3 - 6 days later and collect at the exchange centre

Ah... I did an exchange thrice with Surface support. One regarding my charger, keyboard and tablet itself. Chat with support officer, didnt call them. So far quite pleasant experience tho..

so did you get a brand new set or refrubished?

The lady took out from a new box so I guess it's new lah

Use for 10 months the screen kaput leow. I think MS products cannot buy for 2 reasons

1) No local technical and service support. Anything wrong must talk long long with some pinoy overseas. Chia lak.

2) Anything wrong with the set means exchange which means you need to back out all data files, if possible. Lucky I only have a handful of data files and have them moved out. If really bricked don't know how to recover those data files since set can only be exchanged.

FI, I'm having a old SONY netbook which gives me problem only after 2 years. So how to buy a MS product?
