Folks.. been a long time..

Thinking to build a small small pc at home..

Initially thought of using Inwin A1 but realise that the psu might not be able to handle 2080ti...

Thus... pls help suggest whole build (mb ram cooler fan etc) .. budget aside first

Just want it to be small and nice (as quiet as possible)

Fractal Define Nano S? Costs less and is really roomy.
Lian Li PC-Q37 is pricey but has got good space - it's like a mini O11.
Then get a bigger psu.... hehe.

Better not fit RTX 2080 Ti in Nano S (similar to the other tower H200/Evolv ITX) from actual case owner perspective.

It's a case that does well with either:
1. SFX-L + 200W+ TDP card
2. ATX (like 15-16CM) + 1080 TDP-like card or lower.

Breathing space for high TDP open air card is very important so you'd pick either of the compromise. You have about a +- 1cm air gap between GPU and PSU casing. ATX PSU with 200W+ is going to result in a choking GPU unless you're water cooled or on a blower. That's not even accounting for sideway or backward GPU sag yet.

Then again, most 2080 Ti's are 2.5 slot +. Nano S, Evolv ITX, H200 would not do 2.5 slots so I doubt the Raijintek Ophion will be any exception.

Best VRM ITX board here.

just finished a build with the inwin a1 and the temps are quite high =x

ryzen 1700x with b450 asus mobo. cooled by a nzxt m22 gives around 43 degrees idle. up to 80 degrees on load. thats when fans are at max.

i changed the psu to a 750w cooler master. basically any atx psu fits in but you need to find the one with 140mm length. try to get semi modular or non modular if you plan to put the shroud back.

gpu wise. my evga 1080ti fit in just nice. i dont think any of the rtx 2080ti will fit due to them being all 3 slot cards. the inwin only fits a 2 slot card.

if u really wanna build in the inwin a1 you can ask me questions.

Some reviewers mentioned only SFX psu can fit in. Lets not forget that for a normal PSU, the cables will be sticking towards the case, so gonna take note of bending radius of cables as well.

How about those pico psu type build. i saw they have the 600w . 2080 ti maybe overkill but will play nice to gtx 1060 or maybe rtx 2060

Yes those atx psu can be used. Most are fine if u dont mind removing that shroud. Actually corsair just released new sfx psu that are perfect for the inwin a1. 750w platinum rated

Based on PCPartpicker, i9 9900 and 2080 TI will draw about 415 watts.
You can run the SF600 platinum and power those components.

Let's be realistic here, with an ITX Build, you won't be doing much overclocking due to airflow issues.

You can even be ambitious and try to fit it into a A4 or Geeek A50/A60. My only recco here is to go with a SFX
psu so you can have the widest variety of cases for your selection. Pick an ITX case that you like and with the SF600, you should not have any problems.

It will run hot or loud, depending on which is your comfort factor, but my 2700x in a Cougar QBX is running at 43 degrees idle, I let the 1080TI run whatever, capped at 75 degrees. However, it is quiet, and works well for gaming purposes.

Total of 4 120mm intake fans and its working out for me.

If is the same case i would recommend him to get the normal one and swap out the psu instead. The only reason i swapped the psu is cause the fan is super loud

But ah, if you pay for A1 then pay again for another SFX psu, it costs a lot more in general.

Might as well consider other type of ITX case w/o PSU then add your own PSU.

The Corsair 600W SFX PSU is able to power my Ryzen 2700X and Vega 64. Maxes our at like 500W. It'll be fine for TS's build
