I've a question with the fittings and tubings for my future water-cooling system.

I'm planning a CPU + GFX loop. I need two fittings for each WB and according to EK, the EK-BAY SPIN Reservoir requires fittings. Does the MCP655 require fittings as well? What about the EK RAD-XT 360? To be honest, I've never even touched a water-cooling system before (except in fish ponds ), the only cooling I've done so far was air-cooling.

I was thinking of getting a 1/2'' fitting, but is a 3/8'' internal diameter, 1/2'' external diameter tubing compatible with this fitting? And if I get a 1/2'' fitting with 1/2'' internal diameter tubing, do I require tubing constrictors?

Hey,

You'll need two fittings per radiator as well. MCP655 is not compatible with compression fittings, but you should worm clamp the tubes once you get it in. You can get the replacement top for the MCP655 if you wish to use compression fittings on it.

1/2" compression fittings fit 1/2" internal diameter tubes. 3/8" fittings fit 3/8" internal diameter tubes.

Also, the MCP655 requires tubings with 1/2" internal diameter.

That EK High Flow Fitting is actually a barb, to be used with clamps... it is not a compression fitting.

Easier if you use compression fittings... yes from your setup 8 fittings seems right.

I DIDN'T HOOT THAT 480!

Maybe my next upgrade post-wc would be get a bigger case (corsair 800d still got stock?) and hoot 480 or even 600 or 720 or something like that
