Right ecosystem, must dose vitamin, must does sexing solution to increase colony....male dies faster of course...

Settle the water, you settle 90% of the equation. Wrong soil type, your ph will be out, water hardness cannot maintain.

Cories normally girls don understand la. Last time I played a group of melini , love see them playing around with the sand

Can try neon tetra or mosquito rasbora. Think max only 3 can fit inside that tank. End of the day such a tiny tank don't really think any fish should be kept inside for long term.

I suggest you dump that sorry excuse of a tank and get a 3-5 gallon tank (10+ litres). Won't take up too much space but you really get to enjoy the fish more and get a decent number of small fish.

otocinclus is the most difficult to keep fish. Super highly sensitive to keep. I managed to keep until old age, not too bad.
