Looks like it's going back to 5.5 and below again. I think it could hit 5.3 by year end. HKD is pegged to USD... very safe currency. The general trend suggests that HKD will get more expensive if you keep waiting...

Unless US has some big announcements that will shock the world, don't expect HKD to become cheaper. If US really shocks the world with some announcements, SGD may also weaken and HKD could get expensive too.

Then our last hope is MAS do something to level it out.

Heh. US government may shutdown again. If it ever happens, HKD will dive, like it did in 2013.

My view - HKD is pegged to USD, which makes it very safe and the price of HKD won't vary by much. Since that's the case, it won't make much difference to buy HKD now or later. You should change whenever it's convenient for you.

Unless you go to HK regularly, then it will make sense to monitor the situation. The few cents changes seriously won't result in more HKD, unless the change is by 10 cents at least...

Travelex Reserve Currency @HKIA

Has anyone ever used Travelex Reserve Currency at HKIA ?

You can reserve up to HKD$50,000 worth of currency online (via their website) for pick up in HKIA & payment is when you pick them up.

Just wondering if I read it correctly and that this is for me purchasing HKD bank notes from Travelex, or instead it is for me selling HKD ?! :s22: :s11:

I have emailed them but no answer yet :vijayadmin:

If anyone have used this service in HK, please help!!!
LEaving tomorrow..:s12:
Any info on their commission/ fees charged would be great too..

Thankss
