I tried the U2713H too. Similar issue with backlighting on the U2713HM. Got another brand instead.

dell warranty is legendary. someone(not one user only,its multiple user) from another forum received a u2713h
replacement after getting multiple faulty u2713hm replacement. maybe
those with problems can give it a try.

Imo if you aren't going for real competitive FPS, it doesn't matter, you won't really notice it during intense gaming

Mine just got delivered. From order till delivery about one week. But for my case I opted for credit card instalment, hence may take slightly longer.
