Hi guys, I've been looking to get a 27" IPS for a while for PC gaming and possibly for PS3 and PS4. Even after looking at the different models I'm still not sure which Crossover model I should get? Any recommendations? Thanks bros.

Thanks so much for your advice shadow84, I went ahead and got the 2720, and it was delivered promptly, I'm still trying to figure out why I can't hit 2560x1440 reso though. My 7870 has 2 dual-link DVI ports (using dual monitors with a U2311) so according to previous posts it should work at the max reso, but the max I can go to is 1920x1200.

I think is coz of your u2311... I tink by right, both resolution should be same? So, the higher will follow the lower 1? May be wrong. I always thought both must be the same. Try using displayport, instead of your DVI-I.

I've tried it without hooking up the U2311 too and it doesn't work. I'll go buy a displayport cable tmr and see if that works. Thanks again!

Thinking of getting the 2730MD. The difference in cost between the Standard and Perfect Pixel is (quite) staggering @ S$79! :s22: :s22:

Bro, I am interested to get a set for my ps3 as well. About 30 pages back, someone mentioned PS3 runs only on 720P.
1) Does it run on full 1080P on 2720?
2) How does bluray play? is it full screen 16:9 or with black borders?

Thank you in advance.

PS3 is locked to 720p @60hz or 30 hz, either one .... no way around it... It will show 720p on your 1440p, which i believe may look ugly.

Really? Most Radeon 7870 designs include one dual-link DVI output and one single-link DVI output. Same for their 7970 series other than a very few select manufacturers.

Try using the other dvi port.

After a couple of days mulling things over, I finally decided to pull the plug and placed an order for 2730MD LED on Friday evening. Have yet to hear anything from them (have emailed them requesting confirmation of order). Qoo status shows as "On Request" still. I guess they don't work over the weekend? :)

Anyway.. hope to hear from them tom, and receive the item latest by Thu. :)

Crossover BlackTune 2735AMG

Just made a purchase on qoo10.sg for a 27" Crossover Black Tune 2735AMG monitor. It's the one with the glossy tempered glass, that makes it look like the apple cinema monitor. Paid just S$430.89 for it..

Original Price on qoo10.sg: S$489.89
Seller Discount: -S$40.00
Item Discount Coupon: -S$10.00
Cart Discount Coupon: -S$5.00
Qpoint payment: -S$5.00

Final amount I paid: S$430.89

Can't wait to receive it.. Hope my GTX460 can run it smoothly for photo-editing and watching 1080p movies.. Don't really plan to game with it on native resolution since it will just kill my graphics card..

Any reviews on the Crossover 2730MD LED Standard??

can i use this monitor with my sapphire HD7970 with boost?? the ports that i have on my card are as follows:
1 x HDMI (with 3D)
1 x Single-Link DVI-D
1 x DisplayPort 1.2
1 x Dual-Link DVI-I

If your card has a dual-link dvi-I, it means that it supports up to 2560x1600 resolution. You just need to connect the 2730MD to your card via the dual-link dvi cable..

No lah ... different monitor of different size can exist together, just that the smaller one will have part of it cut off.

That sounds reasonable. My PC Bank PB2700 cost me SGD$375 and has been using it for 1 1/2 years, still good, quite worth the money.

Since I got hold of a Crossover 2730MD, I sometimes have issues whereby the monitor is not receiving any signal. Thus it just stays blank / black.

Using it on quite an old system: Intel C2D E8400 / Asus P5Q Pro / nVidia GeForce 9600GT. Screen resolution: 2560x1440.

Sometimes I have to resit the DVI cable and it works. Sometimes not. Earlier this didn't work so I tried resitting the graphics card and it worked.

Quite irritating. I wonder if it's a card compatibility issue, or just a known issue or whatever. Anybody experienced this before?
