received my crossover 27qp last night. luckily no dead pixels and minimal backlight bleeding. colors look amazing and built quality is not that bad. hopefully this thing will last due to a shady warranty. however, I am unable to game at max settings 2560x1440 due to my gfx card only being a gtx650 2gb.

Congrats on your hoot.

I guess it's time to upgrade your gfx card to GTX770? LOL!!

2560x1440. Almost every graphic cards now support this in gaming. What cable are you using?? If HDMI then it will limit to 1920x1080.

can game at 2560x1440..can feel the fps suffering, stuttering etc. and not as smooth at 1920x1080. i'm using the dual dvi cable they provided..

2560x1440 is about 70% more in resolution as compared to 1920x1080, so alot more processing power is needed to take that kind game play.

But if it is not smooth, 1920x1080 is good enough.

I contemplated this model too, due to the design and super slim frame. however, if you do a google search on the review on overseas forums, the back light bleeding is quite bad apparently and the stand is not that good. so I jumped at the safer and cheaper option of 27q.

I don't think you can find them so easily ... but you can try.

Someone mentioned before that the 27qd has a lousier quality, it uses plastic frame, and the stand isnt that good... try reading the last 3 pages of this thread... believe someone made a comparison before.

Have a question:

Is the stand really as bad as some say?

Thinking of going the X-Star as heard on overclock.net that the stand can be removed by tugging hard. So just need a VESA Mounted stand, and its good to go. But if the stand is ok, then it should be fine?

MSI GS70 with 3 x Crossover 2730MP-D LED

Hi,

been thinking of spending some money to get the above, just got bonus....

have been trying to get a rig for a 3-monitor driving simulator setup for ages....

I know the GS70 can support up to 3 monitors, but nevertheless i'm worried if it can support 3 x of the Crossover 2730mp-d led? would really appreciate some inputs from the experienced friends here.

do you have any other monitors to recommend?

1. The reason i'm considering the GS70 is cos portable and can use for my work, as well as the occasional gaming. and also this laptop is super nice (went to funan to have a look the other day, and it really impressed me.) I understand a desktop is probably a much cheaper and sensible option, but i'm willing to pay a premium for portability and sacrifice on performance.

2. The reason i'm getting the crossover is that it is very value for money over other more expensive brands, and the high resolution is really a tempting thing. but I wonder the 6ms response will have noticeable effect on simulator programs such as rfactor or GTR2 games, appreciate inputs if any. and finally I don't have unlimited budget!

thanks in advance!
