My crossover is still working fine, but I'm glad to know other brands have caught up in terms of the number of inputs and price :D

Any good recoomendations besides Crossover? I find a lot of their designs not so attractive.

all of the korean monitors are all have panels that are rated A- batch. which means some of the panels have dead/bright/suck pixels, while some lucky ones do not have. its main reason why this monitors are so cheap.

accessorieswhole is a reliable seller, i got my crossover from there

I bought mine with a ZERO deal pixel guarantee, didn't cost me more in fact. Only some brands carry that guarantee but that was like 2 to 3 years ago.

4K pc monitors could be good for gaming/work/productions too :)

I find very limited use for 4K monitors.

No doubt it is nice for games, but you really need a powerful rig to maintain decent frame rates.

For work/ production, really depends on what kind of work you are talking about. I do think fonts will look really small, depending on the size of the screen. So even if you can have 2 or 3 spreadsheets side by side, you are likely gonna strain your eye trying to see the content. Increasing the scale will then limit the screen estate. :s22:

Only thing I can think of will be for movies. But then again, there is barely any 4K content out there. Mostly are upscaled from 1080p.

I got 2 CrossOver about 3yrs ago. One of them has a faulty LED driver board in late Jan 2014 (about 1.5yrs after I got it). Paid about SGD$60 for a replacement and been using it since.

Wah .... time flies. It's almost 3yrs since I got this 2 monitors.

Yeah remember we had troubles with it last time trying to dismantle and finding the faulty component :s13:

Anyway, 3 years.. we have used it past its worth. If it still works, I will continue using it until it breaks down.

Afaik, for budget korean monitors, crossover, qnix and wasabi mango are quite popular on the forums. I like crossover's built, it's quite sturdy.

It depends on the distance you are sitting from the screen. 39" 4K has a similar pixel density (or slightly higher) as a 27" 1440P if I calculated correctly. Think of it as a replacement to a multiple monitor setup. At least that is what I think it will do for me.

Currently using 1 27" 1440p and 1 23" 1080p. Change both into just 1 39" 4K perhaps?

Yah man. Back then, I kiasu, I ordered the replacement LED Driver board from the seller for about SGD$60 and I ordered the burnt chip from Aliexpress also. For like SGD$10 for 5pcs.

The LED Driver board reached me about 1-2 days earlier than the replacement chip. Upon receiving the replacement chip, I took out the old ones there and chnage to the news ones.

Put it into the monitor screen and it worked too. So now I have spare LED driver board.

I got 2 CrossOver 27Q, so I will definitely use it till it breaks down and beyond repair.

First time posting in this thread.

Still loving my Yamakasi Catleap Q270 2B OC 27' S-IPS monitor which I oc-ed to 120hz.

Recently I downclocked to 110hz because I read in OC.net that some Catleap monitors are failing after overclocking to 120hz for a few months to a year.

Scared mine will also fail. But I really cannot go back to 60hz after experiencing 120hz.

What should I do? Will overclocking monitor shorten the lifespan? :( :(

LED driver board's mosfet might be burnt. If there's no signal it's red right? But when you turn on the computer it turns blue?

You can test it by shining a torchlight at the panel and see if there's any display without backlight.

Yes it's burnt, that mosfet in the first picture on top of "TO AD Board" connecter.
If I remember correctly i1magic have some extras if you can solder them yourself, you can try and PM him.
Or try Sim Lim Tower? Not sure if they have this. Mine has the same issue too, I asked the seller to send me a replacement LED driver board.
