Just clarified with them on a long chat.

1. Your EXISTING investment will get 5.8% until its end date (let's call it 1st Tranche).
2. Your FRESH FUND (as FRESH as it can) will get 6.8%, can start now (let's call it 2nd Tranche)

Assume you have
- existing 5.8% promo 80k (1st Tranche) ends date 02 Mar
- top up new fund 10k (2nd Tranche) on 26 Feb, will have end date 20 days late (e.g 18 Mar)

In order to get 6.8% on 10k, you must keep the 1st Tranche + 2nd Tranche, until the end date of 2nd Tranche.

1. 80 k will get 5.8% until 02 Mar
2. 80 k will get 3.5% from 03 Mar until 18 Mar (assume Market Rate is 3.5%)
3. 10k (FRESH FUND) will get 6.8% from 26 Feb till 18 Mar, provided you don't withdraw 1st tranche.

Apparently, no double dipping. Your EIR might not be 6.8% due to Market rate applied for non FRESH FUND
1st trance end then withdraw and wait to get 5.8, y must wait till end of 2nd trance? Ur 1st trance not earning u 6.8 anyway

Because they want you to keep your FRESH FUND ABOVE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS.
I assume your minimum requirement is set on balance under 5.8% promo (start of campaign).

In this scenario, the total balance from 5.8% promo (first trance) is held hostage if one wants to participate in 6.8% promo (second tranche)

So this is now clear cannot lump previous promo into existing. Must wait for previous ended start new promo. Moomoo smart.

Lesson learned is don't go for long tenure aka don't be greedy lah and keep your existing monies small incase they launch similar promo in future.

We can use this promo holding max for each tier as guide although they can change in next promo. A playing game indeed.

6.8 should be the max and next promo should not go beyond that unless someone telling me moomoo offered more than 6.8 before? So this time should just go for the max tenure with max $ one has?

If you topup $10k fresh funds, up to $50k of total funds will be eligible for 6.8% for 20 days.

In your example, wouldn't 40k be at 3.5%, and the remaining 50k at 6.8%?

At first I was thinking like you. Until the CSO said only FRESH FUND gets 6.8%.
The existing one in your total fund already not fresh bro.
You can top up 10k, or 20k, or 30k, etc up to 50k ,only those newly funded will get new rate.
Not sure if this CSO is trusted or not.

My experience for Point No. 3 is different, not sure whether it's because I have already completed 1st Tranche.
Summary:
3 Feb: Completed my "5.8% promotion" 60-day cycle, received the coupon on same day. Holdings >$80k
5 Feb: Clicked "Register Now" on the "6.8% promotion" banner
Clicked "Deposit Now" ...& deposited $10,000 & subscribed
Banner then displayed "Your holding now earns 6.8% p.a. for 20 days", "Your subscription $50,000"
"Remaining Subscription Amount $0"

Ya…I thought it should be like this. Hope you get 6.8% on 50k.
CSO explained differently (it could be 6.8% on 10k)
Too confusing to me. I will skip this promo

I have a Moomoo account which I opened a couple of years ago but never used, previously put in a small deposit when I opened the account. I can't find the 6.8% promo anywhere, can I just go to the fund page to subscribe? Or do I need to go through some 6.8% subscribe button (which I can't find)?

No, cannot.
For Moomoo promotions, you must follow the exact steps (per T&C & promotion banner), else you would not be entitled.
After u login to Moomoo App, click "Me" (lower right corner", then click "Promotions"

If you do not see the banner "Get up to S$2,236 6.8% p.a....", then you should click "Customer Service" to check why this promotion is not applicable to you. According to T&C, the only eligibility is "Existing users who have previously made deposit of fresh funds...before 10pm on 23/1/2024", so you should qualify.

If you see the banner, then read carefully & follow the instructions/ steps.

you are correct, the t&c show example too. I itchy finger too, did not withdraw before registering the page. now only max 50k of the fund are in 6.8%. the rest are in normal rate.

4. I have already subscribed to either funds of Moomoo Cash Plus. Is the existing subscription eligible for the 6.8%p.a.?

Yes, the currently subscribed funds of Moomoo Cash Plus may also enjoy the 6.8%p.a. Return.

For example: If you are currently subscribed to S$10,000 in Fullerton SGD Fund, and then subscribe a fresh fund of S$50,000 into the same Fullerton SGD Fund, the full amount of S$60,000 is entitled to the 6.8%p.a. guaranteed return for up to 40-day. After completing the deposit task and becoming eligible for the 40-day 6.8%p.a. guaranteed return, at least one Cash Plus purchase must be made to start calculating the returns.

Eg 80k 5.8% 60 days started on 30/1/2024
Subscribe to the 6.8% n deposit 10k and bought the same fund today .
1) 50k 6.8% for 20 days from today & 5.8% for the balance 40 days
40k 5.8% for 60 days from 30/1.
Correct ??

Or only 10k get 6.8% 20 days n 80k 5.8% 60 days.

it is not reference to 1 feb. it is reference to when you click the register on the promo page

https://www.moomoo.com/sg/support/topic5_728

"Additional Deposit" refers to new deposits made after successful registration for this promotion via the existing user promotion landing page.

2. I have deposited fresh funds before signing up on this page, what do I do?

Simply withdraw the additional amount that was topped up previously, complete the registration on the landing page then re-deposit again to fulfil the fresh funds requirement. Unfortunately, fresh funds topped up prior to registering will not be counted. For more information, check out the guide above on how we calculate fresh funds.
