I have never depleted my data account, but logically speaking, it should hold the original expiry date + additional 7days.

Do note that once your data account is depleted, it will start charging your main balance, so do remember to keep your data account filled.

To sub to the data pack, dial *363 in the dialer, they should send you a SMS shortly.

After topping up my hi card almost a week ago, I have 5.1MB of free data expiring this Saturday. I just dialled *363 but was told that I do not have existing data plan. Should I activate the free 5.1MB by topping up for a 7-Day $1 Value 10MB Plan in order to enjoy the free 5.1MB or something is wrong somewhere? :s11:

Hope to get replies ASAP as I have limited time left to fix this.

if i m not wrong, the 5mb has already given/awarded to u upon top-up, no need to "claim" it. it could b in the special acct n ready to use, no need to do anything extra, jz surf. it is not the same as those data plan that need to subscribe thru *363. or u can try surf 1 simple page to see if the value in main acct reduced or not.

do note that 5mb can used up quite fast. once used up, it will deduct frm the main acct!

I've been using *398# for almost 3 years without problem, but just now all I get is:

Error performing request
Unknown Error

I hope it's not because they cancelled the option?

my only hope is they introduce a S$10 per month mobile data plan for 200mb

otherwise i have to change to hi card then do the $7+$1+$1+$1 every month which i feel is the most value for money if you don't use the credit of the prepaid card

*398# doesn't work anymore! Got error message!

Guys, I have successfully extended my hi!Card's validity for 90 days @ $1.40!

It seems we can't do that *398# anymore, but must login to our hi!Account. The option to extend the validity can be found under "Add-ons".

hi!Account: https://inno.ideas.singtel.com/myhiaccount/

There are many other options to explore in hi!Account so maybe that "$7+$1+$1+$1 plan" is in there too?

even if it is S$3 for 90 days it is still worth it

you buy the S$15 hi card is worth S$18 and expires 120 days

120 + (18/3 x 90/365) = 22 months no need to top-up

Read up this thread to understand how it worked :)

English damn jialat, I think i'll help the rest to rephrase the above if i'm not wrong.

$7 for 1GB for 7days. But if you cannot finish the 1GB by the end of 7days, you can actually roll over instead of subscribing another "$7-1GB-7days" plan. So to "cheat" this system, you have to buy the "$1-10MB-7days" plan to rollover that 1GB you haven't finish.

Correct?

SingTel Mobile internet scam

SingTel mobile internet is robbery or scam;bold, shameless scam!
As somebody wrote above - the rate for data without data plan is:
2.7c/10kb=2.7S$/1M=2700S$/1G
The problem is,that they connect you on above flat rate in automatic manner depleting your balance in a blink of your eye.
Sometime ago - it did not happen, you had first to subscribe, and you was disconnected once subscription expired.
Today if you subscribe - subscription will expire either after lets say - 7 days or after data limit is finished.Anybody can count 7 days, but you will never know when your 1G limit is finished, after limit 1G is finished - they charge you
their flat rate:2.7c/10kB.you can find this on their website.
You will see this very quickly because Singtel will steal your remaining balance in a blink of your eye! They know it and they do it with great enthusiasm!!!
They pray on visitors, there are 5000 visitors every hour landing in Changi Airport.
This is megabucks scam.
Do not buy SingTel sim cards!
Other operators - StarHub or M1 do not commit such thievery.

You can check all your account details on their site. Balance, remaining days, bonus accounts etc.. https://inno.ideas.singtel.com/myhiaccount/welcome.do

All the other telcos charge exorbitant amounts if you don't have a data plan as well, it's the norm here..
