Bought a new Stinktel $10 value card from hello shop 2 months ago, since then, got either sms or call from unknowns almost daily, have anyone encounter this before ?..suspect this may be a "used" number...thanks.
yes, possible. no, not complicated.Possible to port Singtel pre paid to starhub and then convert prepaid to post paid w starhub?? Complicated hor... Hehe
yes, possible. no, not complicated.
long ago, i did this: ST prepaid -> SH prepaid -> ST prepaid -> ST postpaid![]()
i doubt it's possible coz the prefix is different. could b controlled by IDA. hp is 9x or 8x whereas land line is 6x or 3x.from post paid to land line, ok?
Yes. I extended more than 3 months with $1 before. Not sure if $7 4 times will get you 4GB though, never tried that.hi iv a question regarding the prepaid 3g plans.....is it possible to prepay for the entire month?4 times $7 1 week plan plus extend data plan 3 times $1.
https://www.m1.com.sg/PrepaidBroadband Speed caps are quite decent for web surfing. Crowded areas the network will slow to a crawl, normal. Plus webpages alone use very little bandwidth, subscribe to a lower data plan if you not using video or internet radio.I am using M1 3G prepaid mobile data service, and it takes forever to load a webpage. Just wondering if there is way to remove the data speed cap? I subscribed to the 1GB per month plan and I never seem to be able to use the majority of it.

I'm not sure if there's any cap on prepaid but my M1 postpaid 3G pretty decent. You can maybe consider porting over to singtel prepaid.Hello, thank you for the prompt reply!Mine is the sunsurf 3G mobile data plan (1GB for $20 per month, 30 days), and most of the time loading webpages take ages. Even loading of facebook pictures are extremely slow. Needless to say, I can't stream youtube videos. I believe this lagfest phenomenon is called "throttling", where the telco limits the speed cap. So there isn't any way to at least get my phone to watch a youtube video with my current plan? :/
unfortunately, no. pre to pre, post to post n pre to post can, but not post to pre.is it possible to convert from postpaid to prepaid? i dont chat nor sms much so thinking prepaid is good for me. but i dont want to lose my number. you guys know the trouble it takes to update every single contact, mindef, work friends etc etc.

This is like the BEST tip ever for someone like me who are afraid of forgetting to extend and lose the number!
It's only Dec 2013, and my card now expires in Jun 2014! Basically come Mar 7 (the original expiry date) I will go extend the expiry to Sep 2014, and so on.
Thank you so much!
SingTel mobile internet is robbery or scam;bold, shameless scam!
As somebody wrote above - the rate for data without data plan is:
2.7c/10kb=2.7S$/1M=2700S$/1G
The problem is,that they connect you on above flat rate in automatic manner depleting your balance in a blink of your eye.
Sometime ago - it did not happen, you had first to subscribe, and you was disconnected once subscription expired.
Today if you subscribe - subscription will expire either after lets say - 7 days or after data limit is finished.Anybody can count 7 days, but you will never know when your 1G limit is finished, after limit 1G is finished - they charge you
their flat rate:2.7c/10kB.you can find this on their website.
You will see this very quickly because Singtel will steal your remaining balance in a blink of your eye! They know it and they do it with great enthusiasm

Hi All,
I almost bought the SH/M! prepaid when I stumbled into this thread about ST (thankfully). Allow me to share my update. In summary, this is one of the best prepaid purchase for me (value for money & long validity). For S$20, technically you can have a validity of 7 years! (assuming $1.40 for 90days & you remember to activate the 90days validity before expiry).
I took the plunge and bought myself the $38 4G hi! SIM card (see the re-quote below for the look of the prepaid card) Bought on 20th Jan 2014 : Promotion pay only S$20 and get S$38 value!.
In short, I paid S$20 to get the following :
1) S$38 value in your main account
2) 180days validity upon activation (bought 20th Jan 14 valid till 19th July 14)
3) Free 1Gb of 4G LTE Data! (Yes! I am able to connect to 4G on my iPad, but note that the free 1Gb data is only for 7 days from activation - Hey, it's FREE so no complain)
4) Confirm, able to do extend card expiry through hi!Account ($1.40 for 90days) This is the single most important feature for me. The rest is bonus!
Other matters :
1) I bought the nano sim (for iPhone/iPad). From the ST website, micro sim is available but I did not ask. I choose nano sim because with nano sim I can use the adapter and this nano sim can be used on phones with micro or normal sim. Cannot do the the reverse.
2) Activation is immediate. Can use the moment I paid for it.
3) not available in normal outlet such as 7-11. I bought from Singtel shop (Bedok Mall). You will need to provide proof of identity (I/C) to register.
4) Very bad number selection. I only have 4 numbers to choose from. For a 'spare phone' I am ok with it.
5) Although the extend card expiry (90days for S$1.40) is available, I am not able to activate it. I suspect it's because I still have 180days validity. Need to wait till I have 90days or less before I can purchase this (I remember this was discussed in this thread a few page earlier).

Note : the data remain is less than 1Gb because I did speed test to test the 4G data. I get close to 40Mbps download in bedok area on 4G.

data plan will not, a top-up (to main acct) will extend it. the promo card comes with a SIM card n a new hp number. to top-up, jz need to buy those top-up cards (no SIM no hp numbers) or other alternatives.why do i need to pay $1.4 to extend the card validity? you mean by buying the $1 data plan will not extend the number's life?
can i buy 2 of the $20 promo card to use for top up?
