using the wind to post this reply

has the 6 cell battery reached? my 3 cell can only provide me with 1+ hour (close to 2 though) of battery life

if you bought from comex, you should have received the sms to go collect your battery by now.:s12:

well, the bluetooth might come in useful at times when you least expect it. like when i need to transfer pictures from my phone to my wind, i don't need to find the usb cable for connection. turn on the bluetooth and it's done. :D

i suppose it's a personal preference. no offence meant. :o

Axioo Pico with no bluetooth
$780

MSI Wind with bluetooth
$899

So we are actually paying an extra of $119 for the integrated bluetooth which we use once in a blue moon and can easily get a tiny one at SLS for <$20? Any other details that I may have left out? Am considering which to get for my cousin..

US has already started to slash MSI Wind prices from US$479 to US$399 for a 3-cell and US$579 to ~US$450 for the 6-cell.

Any news of SG following and slashing prices?

That is true :). I'm not sure whether the Pico has draft-n too but that's another feature that can be done without if you want the price savings.

Why people comes out with a so call "Netbook" because it should be compact and easy to carry around with as much features as possible. i don't see why you still need to plug in any extra devices to make it more worthwhile. btw Axioo Pico??? Whats that?? If its a local brand would you take the risk to test it out and and have it spoil like every 1yr and having difficulty when it comes to repair?? Or would you have it last longer and have it easily repair?? No offense here but if ur gonna try a unnamed products the risk factor is much higher.

2 cnts thoughts.

can this lappy play dota?

Can play. But the screen fps not very good. Laggy. Unless you connect to an external monitor, the fps will be better. I think may be because the shrunk or uncommon resolution using the built-in monitor or what.

HOKAYS. so got any lappy which met the min requirements for dota to intro mah?

There are many in the market that supports dota. Warcraft 3 itself is quite an old game already.
But if you wanna find netbooks or umpc that can support games, I suggest you do a search in wikipedia. There are users who have compiled a gaming list.

Then again, for netbooks, I think it is advisable to wait for atom dual core to come out and see how well the market goes.

Graphics specifications are especially a concern for games, which you will have to research more. Current Netbooks offers no high end graphics chipset.
Screen size is another issue.

Wish you luck in finding your Laptops.
