Hi there this is my first post.

Just bought a Wind from PC Themes in Sim Lim.

I got a white model with 2GB ram and 6 cell battery. I bargained price down and paid 840.

I also visited Bells who had the wind, but they would not let me see the machine switchd on before I purcahsed (to check for dead pixels). The guy from Bell also said that the 6 cell battery supplied was 4400 mAh but the warranty provider in Singapore (Corbell) had a battery replacement programme to swap these for a 5200 mAh battery?

Anyone know if this is true?

Also, anyone got the original 3 cell battery and intersted in selling it? I have cash waiting if so.

Thanks!

Hi guys,

Have you emailed to us about the 6 cell battery? :)

Just got my email reply from a "Priscella Huang" yesterday evening, as I was getting ready to go K-Pubbing... On 24 October 2008 17: 16PM...

and in it said...

"Therefore we'll appreciate if you can take up this offer by End of October."

Well done, Corbell... U leave me 7 days to scramble some time together to go down to ur office... Of which 1 is a Saturday (halfday), 1 Sunday (not open) and 1 PH (not open), and then 4 weekdays till your "End of October"...

I dun need to work ah?

Our 6-cell battery stock is limited and some users are in the queue.
We have a deadline becos some users who booked the battery will not come in the end.

Ok ok, we will extend the date till 5th Nov 2008 (Wed). Cheers. ;)

jus a quick check, if i use a compaq charger on my 3cell wind, will it damage the lappy? thanks in adv!!

The compaq rating is
input 100-240V ~1.7A 50-60Hz
output 18.5V (18.5V) = 3.5A (3.5A) 65W

anyone managed to get 24% overclock using v1.09 firmware? somehow my laptop freezes when overclocked to 24%. 15% is ok. somehow i suspect that its the additional RAM, since mine is 2GB modem bought from comex.

compare with the adaptor that came with MSI wind. if its the same rating then you can use it. that said, there's always the risk. i personally wouldn't try it.

ST Corbell, you private msg me few weeks ago till now i never received any information that when can i get my 6 cell battery ? Below is this msg you send to me.

Hi Billovee,

Sorry for the frustrations created.

As mentioned in my thread, i will work out something for you. I'll need to know wat color is your battery required, black or white?

I have some suggestion. Let me know your color first.
