slightly heavier and the protruded part somehow lift the keyboard up for ergonomic reason.. havent charge the battery yet.. will see if it's up to the expectation :p

Wah your camera shot very blurred.

Well on the bright side. At least you don't have to buy a laptop cooler(aka sneaker balls) or a Laptop Riser now. Good for your wrists.

compare with the adaptor that came with MSI wind. if its the same rating then you can use it. that said, there's always the risk. i personally wouldn't try it.

attached 2 pix regardin the lifespan of the 6-cell... as we can see the battery seems "fluctuate" - prtscrn these when the WIND is not used to surf.. now surfing using for the past 16mins.. the lifespan left 4hrs 13min (91%)

just an update :p

Check with you guys. is the 6 cell batt suppose to be 4400 mAh or 5200 mAh ?? Cos the wind that i brought from comex comes with 4400 mAh. If it is 5200mAh can exchange with corbell ? :look:

Hi there this is my first post.

Just bought a Wind from PC Themes in Sim Lim.

I got a white model with 2GB ram and 6 cell battery. I bargained price down and paid 840.

I also visited Bells who had the wind, but they would not let me see the machine switchd on before I purcahsed (to check for dead pixels). The guy from Bell also said that the 6 cell battery supplied was 4400 mAh but the warranty provider in Singapore (Corbell) had a battery replacement programme to swap these for a 5200 mAh battery?

Anyone know if this is true?

Also, anyone got the original 3 cell battery and intersted in selling it? I have cash waiting if so.

Thanks!

I also just purchase from PC Themes and receive the 6 cell batt as 4400 mAh. So is it possible to to swap for a 5200 mAh batt?

The battery's life depends on your usage pattern. For me, I use NHC (Notebook hardware control) which has a time meter which measures the time right from the beginning when you boot to the desktop (Resets during a reboot).

I went online right from the time I power on. After 1/2 hr I ran utorrent all the way with 3-5 torrents and the total amount of time it lasted is around 4 hrs 25 mins.

Gosh, been out of touch with the wind after my reservist. There is a new firmware? I still have not collected my 6-cell battery. So if I go and collect now it will be the 5200mAh one right ?

after looking at all the models, u100 seems to fit my palm size and i prefer how the keyboard size and lay out is, esp the Shift..
but i tried the test unit at bell, the space bar like spoil, need to tap it damn hard to get to work.
is it normal or the display unit problem?
