1st: Send cancellation notice by registered mail & by hand (if you hv time) asap

2nd: if paid by credit card, submit a dispute request against the payment, if you paid by credit card

3rd: immediately stop all payments to them

4th: Go SCT after you done the above

Thanks sendoec, what does a dispute request entail and who to you send to? The cc company?

Bros, if u all have cancelled the policy within cooling period and still yet dun get a refund after 60 days, wat wld u do?

You might wanna try the following:

1) email them at "wenting at crownholiday.sg" & "jerytan at pacific.net.sg" with all the supporting documents + registered mail receipt (soft copy) & ask for a refund

2) if you paid by cc, call your yr cc bank & submit a dispute request, some banks require you to fill in a dispute form

3) go to SCT & submit a claim, engage the authority's help

I already approached the Bank, now is waiting for Bank reply, my letter is received by that Sherman, they chop on the letter and requested me to follow the procedure.

After which I keep calling CHE but no one pick up the call till now. I given up all hope, I have now approached the bank and lateral I will go to SCT directly.

Can CHE choose not to attend the SCT?

If one day, we have the capability, we can joint to open up a non-profit organisation to fight against these scam companies. Serious, 0 moral integrity.

Its so stupid to be scammed by them. I really hate myself. My push factor for the signing of contract is because I was misled by their information.

Their manager is Anthony, the sales is Carol.
Beware Crown Holiday Exchange.

i was like u 2, i couldnt sleep for a week bcos of this ordeal

just treat as a lesson learnt & most importantly, we must fight back, dun give up halfway, we all shld try all our means & ways to get our hard earned money back

Hi,
just don't pay and tell them you are not interested if they call you up to demand for payment.

On and off, different phone calls from different companies will call up asking you do you have a timeshare? Just ignore the phone calls and tell them you are not interested and put down the phonecall.

This is based on my personal experience.

Thanks. I was just doing exactly what u r doing. Those ppl are really suckers!!

For those who cancelled within the 5 days, what's considered as written proof of cancellation?

To cancel a contract, the consumer should give the supplier a notice of cancellation (see Annex A) in writing of the consumer's intention to cancel the contract.

A notice of cancellation must be:
a) delivered personally to the person designated in the consumer information notice; or
b) sent by pre-paid post to the address designated in the consumer information notice; or
c) sent by facsimile transmission to a facsimile number designated in the consumer notice.

A consumer information notice is a document provided by the supplier, required under the Regulations, that contained the following details:
a) Name of supplier.
b) Supplier's reference number, code or other details to enable the transaction to be identified.
c) Designated person(s) to whom notice of cancellation to be given, including at least one name and at least one address or facsimile number.

If the supplier did not designate the necessary person, address or facsimile number in the consumer information notice, the consumer can given notice of cancellation under the Regulations by a notice in writing, to the usual or last known address of the place of business of the supplier or designated person (if any). If the supplier or designated person is a body corporate, the notice can be left or sent by pre-paid post to its registered office or principal office.

A notice of cancellation sent by pre-paid post is deemed to have been given at the time of posting, whether or not it is actually received. The consumer is advised to send the notice by registered post to facilitate proof of posting.

Did anyone of you ever receive letters from audit firms of the time-share companies?

Cannot imagine how the audit firms do auditing on their accounts?

And i have been stopped paying for years then suddenly this herold international called me. Funny!!

Strongly believe that all our personal information is circulating among time-share companies and the so-called lawyer firms which claim that they can help us claim back our money from the time-share companies...

If any of you, has already just signed up and wanted to cancel and is still "arguing" with them, why not do yourselves and everybody a favor? Use a pinhole camera to record everything they say. Pretend that you may not want to cancel if the package is really good and make them reiterate the promises of all the 4-5 stars hotels. Make them verbally said that and recorded by the pinhole camera hiding in your shirt ( a pen or a watch etc...). trap them with all the important questions. It is even better if you can talk face to face with Jerry tan. Pass the recording to us and we will figure how to use it against them together with other evidences when we go to the police.

Hi.. I have recording talking to them when I get this letter Abt 7k transfer letter with cours montreux and went to I discovery.. At I discovery they try buy over an become a time share thingy.. N I heard cours montreux has change e name.. So how? Let's do this I still have not get my money back.. Have u been to sct? If u need e recording.. Let's meet.. Get all evidence..

Hey all,

Has anyone been contacted, even harassed by credit companies acting on behalf of the timeshare companies? Received (yet) another letter from ERI, this time with a 'Notice of Appointing Licensed Credit Company'. They threatened to lawyer up, but haven't carried out the threat so far. This, however, is something new.

A bit about me. Bought a $24,000 timeshare way back in 2003, before timeshare scams and their nature became public knowledge, before the cooling-off period was and lemon laws were implemented. Paid about 4,000 before I realized how my folly. Broke payments off, and every now and then, they would send a letter, threatening to bring me to court. Well, almost 10 years on, nothing remotely close to legal action has been taken.

Hi,
I myself have received this type of letters, phone calls, even from their audit companies to ask for audit, just ignore all of them.
