Yup. Totally agree, just tag along, rent out their existing home for rental income and find something to do there. Furthermore, they have no kids and that makes it so much easier for relocation. No brainer bro...

Need to be pragmatic & consider the situation from the benefit of this family:
1. Is the couple still physically together overseas ?
2. Husband/wife overseas posting end up beneficial for the family ~ from career view point, or may lead to relocating permanently to another country

If answer to both are yes, should just go. You can call anywhere home, not just in Singapore...just as some minister said "As much as any new Singaporean can pack up and leave Singapore, so could any other native Singaporean"
