Just to reconfirm the results, I tried to go through the submission again.

Don't seem to be displaying anything about the dates. Strange

Should be glitch. I encountered another one just now when I dont see my address even after i Login as existing customer.

Guess u just have to call them up after a few days to confirm when all the heat has cooled down.

When u log in as existing customer to recontract u will see the estimated quarter. If you miss that you should get an email confirmation after u opt-in. The email will also state the same estimation quarter.

Managed to register for the new ultra gamer plan for Q3 2014 @ $59.99.

Existing customer here whose plan is ending in 03/2015. :)

My plan is same as u.. was thinking of entering my 2nd yr and try sign up during it show, wonder if can get q2, 2014???

So now only existing users can see the ETA for installation? I just signed up as a new user and didn't see it.. :(

Since Lawzer mention that we can still regret before we actually confirm an installation date without any charges, I reckon that only when they come and install the new ONT then they will bring the router.

I thought the router was in the form of a $100 discount voucher which we can purchase from certain shops?

Nah only if u buy it from them. They have been selling Asus routers at discounted prices to their customers for a long time liao. This time round is the biggest discount I've seen so far.

I see.. so if don't want any router must indicate when submitting the application form or they will include the router in the bill.. chey.. than why did they state it as a $100 discount voucher in their homepage?

The word "voucher" is misleading I agree. However if u know your stuff then u should realize that the N56U will not cost $69 outright brand new, which will make u suspect the $100 voucher is intended for that.

Yeah can opt for no routers if u already have a decent one. However not all routers can do WAN to LAN of 900Mbps-1Gbps, so must check first cos this $100 discount is quite a sweet deal if you don't already have the necessary equipment.

Of course if u want fastest possible on wireless (still not 1Gbps) u need to get those ac routers then get your own ac adapters. $$$

Well, the thing is my installation date is q3. Who knows Asus might come out a new router by then. Price of this ac68 will really drop by then.

Well, I can always sell my N66U to a friend and use the AC68.. or I might just sell the AC68 away if I don't see a need for it.. And yes, I am aware that it is a discount voucher

will ASUS N56U be enough?
i use wired connection every where in my house except for my phone

I think it should be enough but maybe not future proof because moving forward more devices will be on AC.

Yes, no need to switch to AC. In fact even if your mobile devices(phones, not laptop) support AC no point coz due to their low power antenna the typical speed u get is 50+ mbps anyway. Upgrade to AC router only if laptops or desktop need to use wireless.

N56U has good hardware and all 4 ports are gigabit. It is good enough for your current usage. Unless you are heavily using all 4 ports for downloading, streaming, etc - performance will be sufficient.
