Very pissed off man. I took leave today for my 1gbps fiber appt which i have been waiting for since early march and today got a call simply to say cannot make it today due to some bull crap. Want to smoke me also at least do some homework first! Don't say my port is connected to another isp and such! When i say I've been using myrepublic for almost a year already suddenly change story say oh because old ont is from nucleus and they need to take over the service from them etc. Good job myrepublic. Keep it up! When my credit card detail changed, so fast get back to me. When your service got lapse, you pretend like it never happened!

They didn't lie to you or pretend that it never happened. The situation is true and you are not the only one.

Even if u are already on MR they still need to submit to Opennet to release the port. So your situation is either 1)MR forgot to submit OR 2)Opennet never release the port in time.

There's another guy who has his port released 2 days earlier by Opennet. So he has no internet for 2 days until his 1Gbps is up.

Relax... I am into 11 days (from 14 April to 24 April) without internet connection so you not the worse one here. LOL

Now, my story till yesterday was almost certain that got something to do with MRP back end and it might have to do with their "SLID" assignment problem. Was told my case is unique (2nd cases they encountered so far).

Still I wished they have done more and proactive about it...Well, there go my another weekend without Internet connection.

Despite the few random disconnection these few nights, downloading Archeage NA at 17mb/s not too shabby.

Indeed, I wish they should be even more proactive to those long standing problem users.. like yours where 11 days is as bad as it can get and those who's fiber attempts failed previous. I am on queue for my 3rd attempt to have MR try again.. I hope I wouldn't get to see a 4th one but that might be likely to happen as well after all they failed twice in the same way.

I would have preferred that. At least i still can surf on mobile phone and they don't missed my appt date! also i have sinktel on port 2 so its not issue to me.

You can actually request for that type of arrangement as well.
By default, most would assume that each household has only 1 active fiber connection, thus in that consideration to reduce the Internet downtime, MR mostly arrange for the same day termination and switch.

Yesterday was my 4th attempts and as I mentioned previously, I don't expect it to work becos MRP still think it was OpenNet problem.

Till the point when yesterday OpenNet measured my fiber signal reading and found to be within acceptable level (-19dbm). So now, the ball is confirmed back with MRP side and they just cant ignore it not their issue anymore.

I told them just revert back to my old MRP plan which works all this while if migrating me over to 1Gbits is a such a big problem for them.

Same happen for me. Opennet came down to my house and test and say everything working. The pinoy guy very confident say is ISP problem but end up is because they pluck to the wrong point in the backend.

The Opennet guy test as long got signal mean ok, they don't check if pluck to the correct hole.

It not for me to check against OpenNet if they have done their job correctly. MRP requested them to investigate and they did their part yesterday. Filed the report officially said that it not their problem/issue.

MRP came and later filed a report saying that it could be SLID assignment issue. Now, MRP has to follow-up on their report and account for the SLA it owns to their customers. As for OpenNet, sorry to say but MRP has to take it up with IDA directly if they have issues with them and not thru us (the customers).

Consider having a special dedicated team to work with OpenNet directly to resolve/patch the right holes for you.

Win your customers by getting your hands dirty.

Which VPN only requires a nominal fee and not a monthly subscription?

So that VPN in which you are using is available for a one time nominal fee and not subscription based?

Please tell us what VPN is that I think alot of users are interested.

In fact u can even start a thread to share and everyone will come in and thank you.

Can you be more specific about which free VPN are you talking about and which one are you using now? If not better don't say as its as good as not saying in the first place as your most likely just bluffing away with hot air. Like what they like to say in EDMW.. GPGT
