So many people having realistic demand of international speed or ping to LA. I mean it's over 15,000km passing so many regions and exchange. Even travelling at speed of light at vacuum state. it would take at least 120-140ms to travel back and forth.

That's why Singapore need to become a regional hub hosting all the content and system, allowing fast and direct access.

The thing is, that's not for us Singaporeans to decide, big players need to see the need to have their content hosted here and unless there are great incentives to do so I do not foresee that happening in the coming years yet.

It takes two hands to clap, I'm sure we're more than willing to host but do they want us to ? Not too sure. :s13:

The OpenNet guys are supposed to come today to open port 2 while MR activates my service next Tue.

Just received a call from MR saying that the ON people 'did not register my appointment in their system properly', so they did not come, hence need to postpone to Friday.

I have a feeling something stupid will come up on Friday too.

Utter crap and nonsense, OpenNet needs to wake up their ideas.

May I know why is there a need to fill up the form if we have been already notified through email that we have been selected for the 1Gbps Beta Test?

If MR cannot even manage the 200 Beta customers, how can we trust MR to manage the rest of the 1Gbps customers?

There were some oversea and some missed called etc or maybe issues caused by opennet etc.

Thus resulting in them being skipped and not getting a 2nd call back as some of the CSO may have forgotten to revisit the old list of customer.

I'm just trying to ensure that anyone left out will be able to get called asap.

For me:

20 mar ---> opennet

24 mar ---> MR

On 24 Mar, please share your local and international speed test here or a mini user review on the service. I think many will be interested to know too. Ahh ahh ahh . . . Really interesting . . .

MR called the other day to confirm appointment on 5th Apr.

Just now someone called again to say that due to manpower shortage on MR side, date needs to be pushed back till 10th !!!

Pretty sure some of you will suffer the same fate :(
