I signup during 1Gbps pre launch in Jan.. but no one call me despite been told end Feb. What should I do? Shall I continue to wait till April? My ADSL contract had end with Singnet and have also missed their IT show promotion. I am disappointed with MR!

Did you want/need the 1Gbps? Then u have to wait and queue, everybody is in line now. its like the iphone of internet subscription, have to queue and wait one.

If not, Singtel's promotion is apparently still available just go to singtelshop.com to sign up. Ends tomorrow though so be quick about it.

Just want to check with MR. I got call up 2 times today on the scheduling of call installation will be next week. Is it because that I change the order on the 1st day thus leads to 2 calls aka 2 orders? Can someone help me to double check it?

My account number is : C1006525

Thanks

For the record I just tried it on my phone with starhub mobile internet. Its has the same phenomenon of slow loading.

Perhaps some others on other providers can try access and see.

How about on MR?

I test one Singtel Mobile 5min ago was normal.

Hi Phases,

You can read from the following:

therealsingapore.com/content/truth-behind-myrepublic-over-promising-1gbps-fibernet-plans

therealsingapore.com/content/greg-mittman-vp-myrepublic-responds-trs-readers-complaint

I have compiled the following screenshots to show why MyRepublic is amnesia about the Feb 2014 call back.

Regards,
James

thanks james. I am fine with date in april as long before my existing bb contract ends else I will pay alot for 1-2months extension. What I am puzzled by the VP explanation is did they did a proper communication to their staff from shop sales staff to customers service. the shop sales told me mid feb, a week later I received a call from the customer service confirming 17 Feb to fix installation date for march. How have the internal communication gone so wrong? If they realized the miscommunication, they should communicate the right information immediately instead of waiting for the customer to ask?

I do not need 1Gbps actually... been using 10m adsl for decade... I am just worry there is a penalty if don't want them now, any idea?

Hi,

I just submitted an application online for 1Gbps buy back plan.

As I have 8 mths of contract left ( Expires on 24th Dec)

Can I request the installation to be held in August and then I will terminate subsequently?

You so certain all this 'miscomm' isn't another smoke screen? :s13::s13::s13:

Bro, smoke screen or not,at least Mr willing to attend and explain to customers etc. SingTel don't even bother

This is just a reflection of how they take into account of customers feedback

Nope. Am just another subscriber.

I am not targeting you honestly, but to everyone who seems to be targeting MR on this issue...

I know and saw that you can wait in your earlier post. I just so not find it a need to do this kind of things to prove that others are wrong and you are right, especially when no one will gain anything.

损人又不利己
得饶人处且饶人

Through some replies, there is a very strong stench of being over defensive of MR and targeting people that gave negative feedback.

I am looking forward to signing up with MR after my contract ended, but am holding horses now after reading through this thread. So THANK YOU all for all the good and negative feedback.

Everybody are just trying to give their honest feedback, and not targeting anyone, their feedback gives future prospective customer an insight/feedback of what is the service, standard and capabilities of MR.

Everyone is entitled to their own feedback, be it good or bad, it allows MR to better themselves and in return better services to their customer.

MR, you guys very funny leh. Got a temp guy to call me just to tell me that someone else will call me by this weekend to schedule an installation date(and the date is not even near)? Errr?

Then when i asked him something else, he kept saying he doesn't know anything and his job is just to call tell me that? -_-

I got that call as well. One moment, there is a lack of communication and now changed into a lack of useful information. Hahahahaha

KNN... how i am stuck!

My ADSL contract had end and am still paying $69.90 for 10mbps, just because 2 years ago i re-contract with a notebook. I remember without notebook is around $49.90 at that point of time. How can they keep charging me with a notebook price even after contract end.

Hoping that I can migrate to MR, that is why I signed up during Jan 1Gbps pre-launch and now what? still have to wait till April with no guarantee of installation date!!! Very disappointed with MR...

The word at the moment is existing customer will be prioritised for the earlier installation slots. So while I feel for you, I am glad for once being existing customer does have it privileges and thus while you are getting the short end of the stick for now, you know that MR place more priority to their existing customer rather than like the mainstream ISP where the best offers is almost always for new customers.

Last I know as long as there u didn't agree on any concrete installation date, there will be no charges.

Paying $69.90 for 10Mbps ADSL is like u are being eaten alive...even if MR has any form of charges its worth to just pay them and go sign up fibre with another provider if u dont wanna wait.

If 10Mbps is all you ever need, Singnet is still running their promotion just go singtelshop.com to check. Or maybe M1 or Starhub. Heck just get the cheapest fibre, I see absolutely no reason if I were u to wait.

Just call and ask or PM one of their staff. why need to ask here and wait?

BTW if u didn't have to pay $69.90 for your ADSL, I bet the wait for MR to contact u isn't that bad isn't it?
