Just got 1Gbps plan installed, above acceptable ?

Oddly when i tried speedtest with Telin, I was getting REALLY horrible speed.
Speedtest at 1.40am

Seems ok, maybe you need better cat6 cables?

what sort of hardware limitation u talking about ? care to share ?

drivers/onboard nic/router/firmwares/router settings/wires are some i can think of.
could even be browser addons, antivirus

even different browsers can yield different results.

so far 2 users reported changing mtu improves the speedtests..

the other time vq speedboost to 1gbps for holidays, it allowed users to figure out where their bottlenecks were.
same with mr now

have you tried with mr's speedtest server?

Our installer are working extremely hard, rushing from places to places to get everyone's connection up.

Even machine cannot tahan (Car broken down) =(. So please bare with them if they are late by a little or so.

It would help if your office people giving the tech the correct information. in case you missed my post in this thread, I posted it on the other thread, email the customer support and post on your facebook.

Does anybody know how to get to a human in OpenNet? I tried calling them but it seems to be all automated.

My first appt was supposed to be 18 March, and of course OpenNet did not turn up. Then it was postponed to 21 March and cancelled on 20 March and I am still pending.

According to the Straits Times today (Home B3), the SLA for OpenNet is 98% within 3 days and the rest within 7 days.

If you can't get OpenNet, then you can consider writing in to IDA since IDA is the regulator incharge of Opennet. Possible options:

(5) Contact Opennet directly to verify the cause of delay / cancelled appointment. Hotline number: 6563 4273 or email: info@opennet.com.sg , ask@opennet.com.sg

(6) Complain to Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (“IDA”) and Ministry of Communication and Information (“MCI”)
• Minister for Communications and Information, YAACOB Ibrahim ( yaacob_ibrahim@mci.gov.sg )
• Senior Minister of State, Lawrence WONG ( lawrence_wong@mci.gov.sg )
• Minister of State, Ms SIM Ann ( sim_ann@moe.gov.sg )
• Permanent Secretary of MCI, Aubeck KAM ( mci_aubeck_kam@mci.gov.sg )
• Executive Deputy Chairman of IDA, Steven Robert LEONARD ( steve_leonard@ida.gov.sg )
• Managing Director of IDA, Ms Jacqueline POH ( jacqueline_poh@ida.gov.sg )
• Senior Director (Next Generation Infrastructure), Philip Heah ( philip_heah@ida.gov.sg )

Repost: For the benefit of all the other folks who are in a similar situation (e.g. last minute cancellations, no-shows etc etc), I have created a simple guide as to the possible steps you can take as a irate customer.

(1) Call the MR 24/7 hotline at : 6436 6638
• Expect for calls to be unanswered due to heavy call traffic and insufficient MR manpower
• Should you be lucky to get through, do record your call to avoid any miscommunication or misunderstandings in the future
• If nobody picks up, you can try your luck with their business sales hotline at: 6436 6618

(2) Email MR at myservice@myrepublic.com.sg
• Do remember to record down your ticket number etc

(3) Contact MR via their livechat on their webpage http://www.myrepublic.com.sg

(4) Contact MR management via email or personal visit to their office
• Malcolm Rodrigues: CEO & Co-founder
• KC Lai: Chief Commercial Officer & Co-Founder
• Greg Mittman: V.P. & Co-Founder
• Lawrence Chan: Head of Business Development and Product Management

(5) Contact Opennet directly to verify the cause of delay / cancelled appointment. Hotline number: 6563 4273 or email: info@opennet.com.sg , ask@opennet.com.sg

(6) Complain to Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (“IDA”) and Ministry of Communication and Information (“MCI”)

• Minister of State, Ms SIM Ann ( sim_ann@moe.gov.sg )
• Permanent Secretary of MCI, Aubeck KAM ( mci_aubeck_kam@mci.gov.sg )
• Executive Deputy Chairman of IDA, Steven Robert LEONARD ( steve_leonard@ida.gov.sg )
• Managing Director of IDA, Ms Jacqueline POH ( jacqueline_poh@ida.gov.sg )
• Senior Director (Next Generation Infrastructure), Philip Heah ( philip_heah@ida.gov.sg )

(7) Contact HWZ user louischin at louischin78@gmail.com who is planning to organize a joint petition / complaint about MR and Opennet to IDA

hi johnnny

kindly elaborate on the asus firmware issue.

and what can users do to bypass/rectify this before the firmware comes out???

ASUS router firmware issues

We've spoken to ASUS already, who acknowledged the problem and will be updating their firmware soon. They couldn't give us a date yet, but we're keeping an eye on this.

hi guys, due to the rain. Do give our installer a little more time to drive slowly; safety first.

Absolutely solid guide!!

You may want to add in
1) IDA QSM: ida_qsm@ida.gov.sg
2) MCI QSM: mci@mci.gov.sg

Usually emails to QSM attract more management attention.

Haha our ideas awake for very long already. But at least now everyone can see that OpenNet acknowledges there resource issue. Not we bluff one!

hi johnnny

This... one is tricky. Can install custom firmware, if I'm not wrong it might void your warranty. We're looking for interim solutions for you guys, and once we have one we'll let you know asap.
