Got charges meh? sales did not infm me ler... by 21 April.

If I never remember wrongly, the activation of Port 1 on TP is free but not for Port 2.

Edited:

24-month Fibre Broadband Promotions

"Free ONT Activation waiver is only up till $58.85 (with GST) for weekdays -Monday to Friday (9am-5pm)."

"... Existing customers with a Nucleus Connect ONT may be required to switch to an ONT provided by M1 (subject to availability of 2nd port on Termination Point) to enjoy the above. Installation fees and other miscellaneous fees may apply."

Nope, as long as the TP is there and you're not applying for a service which requires a 2nd TP, both port activation carries no charge.

yeah,
ST was the first to start their own opco, 2nd port is required as I had M1 on first port. during then, it wasn't common knowledge that NC will hold hostage the port for a year, if i knew, i would have continued with M1 fibre after the 3mths trial.

st really disrupt the whole ngbn project. the concept was for all to be on NC, which had 4 ports which could serve 4 isps from 1 port
during the early months, st wanted to charge me for activation of port 2. hell no, wrote a nasty email to I Don't know Anything about how screwed up the whole ngbn is and went with adsl.

its still screwed up, just not as bad

Existing subscribers (of Static IP) who moved to 1Gbps, did you guys receive any email (prior to 1Gbps installation) on the issuing a new Static IP?

Because I just received an email from mycam@myrepublic.com.sg with a new Static IP.

yes I did.

Please do note that based on what I am told during the installation, the Static IP may not be available immediately.

It may take 1-2 days for it to become active.

I cannot confirm the becoming active part because ON screwed MR on the day of installation and it took 2 days to resolve, and the static IP was already there when the connection is up.

I have sent an email to MyRepublic service support email for my Static IP to be reactivate after my 1Gbps install on 2nd April. Until today I have not receive any mail regarding the activation of my static IP.

Today I log into MyRepublic account and found that the Static IP option has been grey out.

Can any MyRepublic CSE help?

I have static IP on My Republic Pure Plan before the upgrade.

My account no : C1003640

just go to your router and check if you already have the Static IP... it should be 103.x.x.x if you already have static IP

the greying out is normal as you do not need the information inside there anymore...

mine also greyed out...

Hi there,

any MR rep here to advise me on how long am I expected to wait till I can actually start using the internet 1Gbps?

For my case, the technician came down to install on the appointed date but due to connection problem cited, the setting up of internet use wasn't successful and I have to wait for further updates from you guys.

Up till now I haven't actually received any, and while through my effort to call the (very hot) hotline, I do managed to get myself through the call successfully for a couple of times to enquire about the status of my case during the past few days, most I got was "It will most likely be up today or tomorrow" or "will receive a call back from us today or tomorrow".

Since Monday.. Nothing :(

would like to add that it's kinda hard to reach you guys through the hotline and I'm sure I'm not the only customer with the same sentiment.. holding the call line for half an hour or more and yet got cut off doesn't make one feels good. Communication and support is vital :(

Hi vivi - I'm sorry for the problem you've faced and agree that communication and support is vital. Can you send me a PM with your email address or NRIC? I'll follow up on your case. ^FL
