Those lagging on 1gbps? 100mbps is not lagging even on source

yup, im on 1gbps and i cant even stream SEA majors (local tournament with local streamer) on low quality now.

i already told a MR rep this is abnormal even for a MR user, still i got the generic replies of "its twitch's fault", "problem not from our side", basically hes telling me to suck thumb and bite the bullet. :o

Anyone knows of the following condition cited by MR CS for the 1GB upgrade? I waited for 3 months since they failed the 1st installation in end March and now they throw another bomb, this ISP is as good as the other big 3 now.

------
We refer to your email yesterday

As we have checked your subscription, you only had the service for 1 year.

We have received a feedback that for GAMER Package you need to complete at least 1.5 years for the eligibility of this 1Gbps Migration.

By November you can drop us a call and get this upgrade.

We appreciate your patience and understanding regarding this matter

I guess their database system hacked or corrupted already .Some ppl recontract asap can get installation dates when others like me keep pushing back till you terminate .
Its all very confusing and definetely not 1st come 1st serve basis .Its like some random luck sxxx.

It depends on opennet schedule since they are responsible of back end infra provision under OpCo responsibilities

It is the multi-layer system that generate the issues: leading to finger pointing game

I play D3 America.. got a nice flat 170+ms all day all night.

Too late/too bad for me but I have friends from TW so SEA is where I will be on. Can't believe how many times they need to mess this up.

Getting tired with the crappy cheap upstream and their decency to call a Gaming Plan with such.

The irony that this is from a regular(non gimmicky gaming) singnet plan.

Update1: Just ended the call after waiting for 20mins on it and still no one picked up. 12:26AM and still high volume of call? Doubtful, 24hours support is non existent just as much.

Update2: Just tried again and got through after 15minutes, poor guy got chided badly by me and he finally ask for my forgiveness but yet it's not entirely his fault, his colleague is on leave and so he's alone manning the whole call support so he had to deal with a someone else for a good 30 minutes.

MR you guys have the decency to put 1 man on the damn 24 hours support hotline when the other colleague is on leave, what happened to finding a proper replacement? Worst of all the gaming hotline and the general hotline is in fact handled by the SAME person, you guys are really.. woah.

Still waiting for update, today's is the scheduled date for the ONT change. Last received a call about 90 min ago, asking if my line is cut. I said no and they kinda went oh **** mode.

Change of ONT requires my line to be temporary cut?

And till now, my line is up still, typing this post, no more further call from MR.

Looks like my half day leave if busted if this continues.

There is a change in the infrastructure backend from NC to MR. Therefore, OpenNet is involved to switch from NC to MR infrastructure (fibre takeover) which results the "temporary cut".

I've just signed up for the MR 1GB yesterday, opting to get the Asus RT-AC68U router (withh $100 rebate), and the Teleport service. I'm more into general surfing, big files download, and Minecraft gaming. I got a SMS today saying that in early July 2014, someone would call me to schedule an installation. I would like to seek some views from those who are already on MR:

1) What should my expectation be in terms of the installation date? From what I read, it would be delayed for up to half a year?

2) How is the stability of the internet service so far? Could it be compared to the big telcos? (e.g. Starhub which I'm currently using is very stable).

3) So it is confirmed that the MR CS sucks big time?

4) I intend to subscribe to Netflix as MR has the VPN capability. Anyone has subscribed tp Netflix also, and what's the experience like?

5) My condo has an existing ethernet structured cabling system (10 year old already), with UTP ports on the walls in the rooms. My existing Starhub Maxinfinity broadband is configured like this: ONT-->wall UTP port--> condo structured cabling --> D-Link router (provided by Starhub). I will replace the D-Link router with the Asus RT-AC68U router. However, I think that the existing 10-year old structured cabling UTP cable will not be able to transfer data at 1GB from the ONT to the router, right?

6) I called up CS to enquire about cancellation charges. The guy (I have his name) said that as long as an appointment date has not been set, cancellation is free. After it is set, will need to pay penalty of $200+. Is this correct from your understanding?

Thanks for reading my long post !

2) Coming to 3 months on 1Gbps, I experienced 3 short downtime. I am not sure whether is it acceptable to you.

3) No comment since I seldom call the CS.

5) Your Ethernet/UTP cables are which CAT? You can refer to this for more information.

6) Yes

Thanks for the reply. Could I know what kind of speeds (for LAN cable and for Wifi) do you typically get from your router? (that's connected to the ONT). What router are you using?

WOW the whole company is going down the drain!! MR called me 2 weeks ago and scheduled my appointment for today to do the upgrade to 1gbps. Technician came down and then informed me MR haven cut the line. The line has to be cut for him to install the 1gbps equipment. I mean dont you people communicate to one another. Shouldnt the tech have checked if the line is cut before he came down. And if it isnt shouldnt they just cut it on the spot. The tech blatantly stated that the back end support said there is no schdule to cut the line today and thus he will not be able to do anything today and left. Even the big 3 telcos are way way better. I called in CS waited for 30 mins for them to answer the call and then the CS informed she has no idea what is happening and just stated will get the relavant department to call me. No apologies no empathy. Time to create more awareness about this company to others.
