to all users having disconnecting issues.
just for reference, i WAS getting the same d/c few weeks ago.
went thru the router log to find out what is wrong.

replaced a new cable between ONT and ROUTER
and everything is back to normal

I have used 3 different colours of lan cable... no go!

what matters is the category and if the cable is faulty, no?
try looking into the log to see if u can find out what is the issue.

myrepublic, why the hell that the billing deduction date keep on changing? Sometime is on start of the mth and sometime is on end of the mth. Please make a fix date to deduct as it is easier to keep track for your customer.

Is Myrepublic still doing that strange NAT/private IP thingy?

I vaguely remember that there was a promo for free static IP sometime back to limited customers as an alternative to this.

yeap MyRepublic is still on private IP for all users unless you choose to signup for static IP which will cost one time fee of $50

hi, can you share ur config for the router?

i just got my ONT installed and Myrepublic connection running, but i can only achieve around 290mpbs to 300mpbs on speedtest.net, all connection are wired, but if i connect directly to the alcatel modem i get around 800 to 850mpbs? so i suspect the issue is with asus router something misconfig.

I am using the key that MR provided for subscriber.
Looks like the 1 year period is up.
Can I check if I am entitled to the Norton usage for as long as I am a
subscriber of MR?

If yes, how do i go around renewing the software?

Just curious, your old router is an Asus one? which model/firmware?
Also, your R7000 is running with the stock Netgear firmware, not DD-WRT, right?

I was using the Asus AC68 with the latest Asus firmware and then Merlyn's latest. For the R7000, tried the dd-wrt but speeds went down so switched back to stock latest firmware. No incidences of dropped connections since the switch.

Thanks for the info. DD-WRT has no h/w NAT acceleration now so it's not surprising that it's slower than stock for 1Gbps plan.
