I am on phone holding for 1 hr liao, want to check if their tech is coming for my appointment from 9 to 1pm. Not body call and not sure whether they will turn up to do the ONT upgrade.

Typing now at 1220pm , still no sight of MR Tech

will wait till the appointment time lapse before deciding what to do. This is not the first time they do not stick to the appointment time.

How do I contact MR now? I have been trying calling them for the past few days but it seems that they are always busy. Is there any other number I can contact them?

What's the difference between ASUS N56U and ASUS AC68U?

Does it affects both wired and wireless?
I checked the webby and don't understand at all.

I still have this random "page not found" and long load problem (both wired and wireless) most of the time despite router replacement. I just want to know if there's any difference between the 2 models. In case if few weeks and another visit by the technician still same problem, I may consider buying that AC68U router but don't know if it makes any difference. *sigh* I wished they had just stick to the old 100mbps plan. I never had any problem with the old white router.

Not much difference when it comes to wired. Both will support the 1Gbps connection. However AC68U has wireless ac but the N56U only support wireless n. So it depends on what kind of wireless speeds you want.

If you still have the white router with you, switch to it see if it still gives you the problem. If not maybe contact them to have the tech come down again, maybe the fiber cable is damaged during installation.

Thanks for the reply. :)

I have the white router (the one with 2 antennas) that was used for the previous 100mbps, but they took away the other white box (not sure what's that). Can I still switch the router back to that?

The one they took was your old ONT, which was supposed to be returned to Nucleus Connect.

White router is the Engenius ESR8850? Yes you can switch it back to that. However to attain 1Gbps speed on wired, you will need to access the router config page and turn on "Network Turbine". By default it is turned off.

If not max you get is 150Mbps up and down.

But if You wanna test whether can load or not then its not important. If its the Asus router that is spolit then the ESR9850 should work properly (your problem is not a speed related one).

Yup, the white router is ESR9850. I'll try to switch it to that one and see the result.

I'm not sure which one is the fibre cable. Is it the one which Opennet built on the ceiling 2 years ago or that yellow wire?

Finally get through to CSO. Guess what, I was told that no tech will be coming for the appointment as the opennet port is not ready. What a ****,
don't come at least give a cancellation call, I waited 4 hours because of this installation and they don't even bother to call to cancel the appointment.
They have really screw up all the appointment. Make a decision and ask to CSO to cancel the contract and ask them to waive the cancellation charges since they are the one that did not fulfilled the contract obligation.

BUT, now I am stuck. MR have block up the 2 port of the opennet meaning that I will not be able to signup with another ISP unless they can release the port back to opennet.

Anybody got any experience in this? how long does ISP take to release back the port to opennet?

Its that yellow cable from the TP to your ONT. It shouldn't be bent BTW.

Finally get through the hot line after a few days of trying lol. I told her I would like to terminate the service and also cancel my Comex re-contract. She told me that I will receive another call from another team next week for the termination and return of the ONT.
