Hmm. I've been on MyRepublic since September 2012. Haven't had any major issues with the 100Mbps Pure and actually thinking about recontracting with the 300Mbps plan since I don't really need the 1Gbps.

Some of you guys have twitch.tv issues? I tried watching twitch.tv for an hour and it streamed fine without any lag. Are those experiencing the lag on the 1Gbps plan?

The old plan which you are on has no problem with twitch, their new 1gbps plan they used their own network. i'm on the 1gbps plan, cant stream twitch without using a vpn

If MyRepublic 100MB contract ends end of month and i have re-contracted with an increase in speed, will i get the new speed once they install the new ONT (they did this before my existing contract ended) or still have to wait for existing contract to finish before i get to experience the new speed?

Wow, you are really bitter with MR huh? Lol.... fanning flames onto users to utilise "terrorist" actions against MR that way would hardly help matters. Logic and common sense would tell you that.

I doubt anyone would be silly enough to fight your war for you. Chill, man... Despite the MR issues some are facing now, what you are suggesting doesn't seem proportionate ;-)

Just switched over to 300mbps from the old Pure 100, can confirm twitch is buffering more than usual to be nearly unwatchable with the new black ONT. I used to be able to stream any popular twitch channels (>10k viewers) at source quality w/o buffering, while surfing the net and climbing up/down bukit timah, along with download from MEGA and Youtube on the old Pure 100, but twitch streaming has gone downhill ever since I changed over to the 300mbps. All my equipment/firmware never change except the ONT, so it can't be an equipment issue.

All I can think now is thank goodness twitch tv isn't a priority for me

Not really many months but I would say close to a year. Actually he used to kpkb here last year, advocating people to abruptly stop payment. Then dont know why disappeared for a few months I thought he terminated and go sign up with other providers.

Then now he is back again.

By right your existing connection will be cut on installation day, then the tech who came over with the new ONT will collect the NC ONT as well.

No reason they will come and collect your NC ONT without your new connection ready. NC call you one or MR call you for the ONT collection?

Once MR Field Engineer installs the new ONT SUCCESSFULLY, you will get your subscribed speed provided OpenNet has done their job before the installation.

Just this afternoon, I am suddenly running into issues with connecting to facebook and youtube. The loading bar will be stuck at "connecting" forever. I am now using a VPN as a temporary fix to this issue.

How can I resolve this problem with unable to connect to facebook and youtube without VPN? Other sites are working fine.

FYI. Wireless speed can be restricted by the router and the devices.

Are you able to test with direct connection from ONT @ here?

I've been trying to stress test the connection and managed to hit consistent 17-18MB/s or 136-144mbps when I'm downloading from MEGA, various Youtube/Vimeo vids and climbing up/down some popular bukit timah. Not using any download manager and am using a N600 router on 5GHz with padavan firmware with one wall directly between the PC and the router. No problem with pings to impt sites/apps for me. Quite happy with the results so far especially since I'm on wireless. Now if only they can fix the Twitch routing problem for the rest of the guys here...
