seem so but most got it done within a month? now its the 3rd mnth n no date for installation.....then sitex come, another flood and got delay somemore? those that sign up in comex i think already got their new fiber running

I heard some people from other RSPs waited around 2 months for installation. So you have to set the right expectation.

You may want to consider other RSPs if customer service is one of your major considerations for a RSP.

What happened to MY Republic?

Service and connection was awesome for the past few years.

But recently, everything seems to be going downhill.

1. Speed: Surfing speed dropped. I'm seeing constant buffering on YouTube videos @ 720p.
2. Service: I'm still waiting on my re-contract plan. I had called a few times but you guys still haven't gotten back to me on when I can get my new contract at the promised price. Now I'm still stuck at 100Mbps @ $59.90 whereas I should be paying lesser (and getting more bandwidth) in the new contract.

I understand that Opennet is the bottle neck (according to customer service, the fibre layout at my area does not support more than 100Mbps). But you guys should communicate better to the customers because we are paying more now and getting less bandwidth.

Im on, in fact I making complaining soon

WAH I want to cry already. Surfing quality has dropped so drastically!

11.05pm

MR Speedtest = 802mbps/469mbps
Telin Speedtest = UNABLE TO CONNECT~~~~!!!

DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE *Vomit Blood*

*I called MR, then MR (Scott Derozario) ask me send email with screenshots and I asked if he will call me once he receive the email. He said yes.
*Email with screenshots sent, got automated email saying received, but no call. Finally I called MR hotline again. This time I don't even want to find the previous guy, or ask this new guy name already. He tell me my email was forwarded to the MR-Networking department. So wait for that department to contact me.
*Then I say ok, then I got another problem with billing. for Aug'14, when I upgraded to 1Gbps. That month I was billed with the old plan and new plan together. No pro-rated at all. He tell me that one need finance department. He will forward to finance department.
(So my brain start twitching, you just pick up phone call only and follow script ah, out of script just keep say forward forward forward, not sian meh)

Who else here having similiar issues with me? Please share your experience. Once got a few more MR consumers like this then i'm sure IDA will be able to consolidate and communicate this to MR better

I'm seeing many bad reviews of MR lately. TLDR.

Am a 2 year old customer of them since their early days.

Simple question:

I'm one email away from renewing my contract. Should I renew with MyRepublic?

If not, just be frank which should I go for?

Like you i started 2years+ ago with MR. It depends on what your using. I didn't find MR new 1Gbps that bad after using their services for a couple months. If you don't use twitch (see complains on what is bad) etc... that all is fine and will hardly make any difference. Do note MR migration from old 100/150Mbps plan to the new service isn't flawless and if complication arise, the process and time it takes would be as if your subscribing to a totally different ISP.

MR isnt the same anymore ...

Go VQ

Personally, I think MR really isnt the same too.

100mbps is great, been with them for 2 years too.

upgraded to 1000mbps, it just sux. I believe it's still in it's initial phase. MR is the only ISP providing 1000mbps at the moment. So i guess without knowing many upgraders and me are pigs for their testing.

if only MR marketed it as beta testing, i wouldn't really mind the problems cos then I know it's like a trial period. Too bad price is not really cheap to be doing testing for their 1000mbps.

Hmmm If you trust they will be better, then yeah go ahead. Only question is how long will it take for MR to improve in their quality of internet providing, and quality of customer support. (Seems like their operators at the moment are just humanoids)

MR server giving me 800mpbs/469mbps

sob.

why does MR hate the north!!!
Maybe the north is over congested.. you talking about sengkang, punggol areas? Lots of young residents. Every night practice 吸星大发。。

Bandwidth consumption must be higher than air-con :D
