So far they have acknowledged that there is a problem, so there is no point for us to get overheated over it. Just have to give them time to settle it.

How much time do you think you can give before you bang table again that really depends on yourself.

Some suggestions on what better to do:
1. lights off 2230
2. watch TV (and eyes bleed)
3. Dig out your old library card and dive into books
4. dig out old games on discs to install and play, especially stiff arse RPG games
5. play games on phones.
6. clean up your messy room (or messy house)

or anything else that don't require internet access at night.

If we are going to do what you're suggesting, then what's the point of the existence of MyRepublic as a ISP and what's the point of us paying as customers subscribed to the service that obviously doesn't work?

P.S They didn't have a choice but to admit it publicly, just take a look at the past few pages of this thread and look at their facebook walls. Jokes.

The amazing thing in here is, despite all this commotion, where's the MR rep in HWZ? If you can afford to sponsor HWZ networking sub-forum, you can't afford for someone manning here? Why not save the $ and use it to rectify your network issues? Simple, facts and my 2 cents. :)

Well what jack shiat can we do except wait for them to fix it? If you have better ideas to solve this problem I would love to listen, and I am sure everyone with some problems is.

The case of the missing MR Rep has been around far before this current issue is and the network problem is gonna surface even if MR rep is actively posting stuff daily (just like the slowdowns back in 2012 during the month of the London Olympics)

Can't afford to place someone here but they now speak Maori? I think not. So whatwever reason why they are not actively posting here we dont know.

From MR FB:

Update 15 Oct:

We'd like to update you on the progress we have to resolve the recent network performance issues during peak hours.

**Network Improvements**
Our network engineers have implemented a number of routing optimisations to improve stability and speed, specifically during peak hours.

You should begin to experience these enhancements today, so we hope you can leave a comment to let us know if your Internet connection has improved.

We will be monitoring the situation and continue to optimise the network over the next few days.

**Speed Tests**
While a common way to measure network performance, results on Speedtest.net public servers during peak hours are highly inaccurate. These public servers typically only have a 1-Gigabit port connected to the Internet, which is insufficient to reliably test our 1Gbps services during peak hours (when many people are testing at the same time).

You can find more information on our Speedtest support page.

**Teleport**
Our engineers have fixed the issues that were affecting Teleport performance recently. We will also continue to roll out more improvements to the Teleport service over the next few weeks.

**Future Updates**
We will continue to update you on the progress of our network improvements, and we thank you for your continued patience as we resolve this matter.

---

We have been receiving feedback from some customers about network performance issues and in the spirit of transparency we would like to share more details on what's happening.

Some subscribers are currently facing intermittent disconnects or slow speeds during peak hours (e.g. 8pm - 10pm). We are currently completing our network analysis to ascertain the root cause of the problem and implement a full, long-term fix. In the meantime, we are rolling out a number of temporary solutions to alleviate the problem.

If you are affected by this issue, we hope that you can fill out this form so that we can keep you updated on the resolution of this issue:

http://bit.ly/1w13pgk

We treat the performance of our network very seriously, and seek your understanding as we work to resolve the matter. Thank you very much!

Just to let you guys know.

I changed my DNS to google public servers

and also when surfing I turned on my VPN (astrill) connect to USA. it is smoother than direclty connected to MR which made me spam F5 so many time.

Considering singing up for MR

Subj. After sitting >2 years on Starhub's 30mbit cable plan.

Let me outline what I am looking for: I need stabile connection - this is must. Also, I do a lot of remote support for our company's sites located in States and Europe so stability, once again matters. I will also need teleport to be able to access number of resources as well.

I have couple of questions:

- What MR is any better than ViewQuest? (I am not considering Singtel/Starhub/M1)

- Router: what are principal differences between N56U and AC56U? I have 3br apartment and need to be able to cover it.

- Should I go with MR directly or with resellers?

- Is there any promotions currently in place? I am quite price sensitive.

Anything else - any suggestions/options/recommendations?

P.S. I have FIN/EP - would it be a problem?
