Anyone signed up for MR and got the free Asus TUF Ax4200 router? Just wondering did they provide a receipt or some sort for the router for warranty purposes? If not how to claim warranty from Asus as I understand Asus requires proof of purchase for warranty?
Just use your MR contract date will do.
The last time when I had to replace my router they checked my contract and also remember to register the router with ASUS.

Thanks. I'm actually trying to buy the router from someone else who got it from signing MR and is selling it lol

So just thinking if he needs to provide me some invoice/receipt or some sorts so I can claim warranty in the future

The customer acceptance form signed during the day of installation will indicate the router model and Serial number. However the form will be handover to the original applicant.

In order to have Dual WAN Load Balancing to work for MyRepublic 1+1 Gbps plan, it was reported that you need at least one static IPv4 address . Two static IPv4 addresses are of course fine as well.
can i know that the dual wan load balancing, can the MR help to setup during new installation or we ourselves can setup ourselves easily?

can i pm you on how should I configure?
https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1011719/
which option should i choose? failover or load balance mode? any pros or cons between this 2 mode?

Load balancing mode. It does not make much sense to use fail over in this case.

Sorry but no pm for technical questions.

It is not difficult, just try it and then ask if you encounter issues.

Can I know if this works? Is my setup correct with dual wan load balance with ethernet backhaul mesh?

Where do you get the info for the VLAN0/VLAN1 stuff?

It seems to me your setup will work, other than the VLAN stuff.

As far as I know, Asus router is not a good choice to achieve what you want if you want VLAN stuff to work. But I do not know too much about VLAN myself.

Edit to add: just found out that newer generation of Asus routers have some support of VLAN. So yes your plan may work.

Hi,

Anyone have any idea why my speedtest to MyRepublic server very slow for download (12 Mbps) but upload is normal (920 Mbps).
However to Singtel both download and upload very fast (900+Mbps).
My laptop connected directly to ONT. Tried power cycle the modem and change lan cable.
Tried unplug optical cable at modem and terminal box and plug back.

Then no need to worry, it could be just a temporary problem of the MyRepublic SpeedTest server. You can always test with other servers like M1, Starhub and VQ.

But using my office internet I can get 900Mbps download/upload on 1Gbps plan connected to MyRepublic server.
Only at home I always get 10+Mbps on same 1 Gbps plan.
I started doing speedtest because recently it's always buffering when I watch video on YouTube/ Facebook.

Hmm, that is strange. Did you try out other speedtest servers?

Anyway, better contact MR for support in this case.
