Quote from the article:
5G is available for everyone who sign up for a MyRepublic 5G plan. Simply select your preferred 5G plan, choose eSIM or physical SIM, activate the mobile service, and you’re good to go! Do note that to enjoy 5G access, a compatible 5G device is required. Check out the list of compatible devices.

Update : We checked with MyRepublic, their 5G plan will require a reissue of a new 5G SIM card and the plan runs on Starhub not M1.

If 5G eSIM, still running on Starhub? Does Starhub have eSIM?
i also wonder if esim is better probably for ios users not android at the moment if you are always changing phones ..

5G plan runs on Starhub - Does that mean for 5G connection only or the 4G connections on 5G plan also run on Starhub? I just switched out from MR because of bad connections from time to time... But if they are switching to Starhub then can reconsider as the price is very attractive.

Sound correct because Starhub & M1 are in a joint venture for their 5G network deployment. However, I wonder if drop back to 4G is using Starhub or M1

So their 5G plans are on Starhub and 4G plans are on M1?

Or both going to be on Starhub?
they did not say, I feel it might be sign ups from 17 Jan onwards will be on Starhub network.
MyRepublic did it before when they switched from Starhub to M1 network. They make it a point from a date onwards, all customers who signed up will be on M1 network. I feel they will be doing it as well. Otherwise, it will be messy for them to handle 4G and 5G networks on different network operators

Seems like it, the apn settings are now shwap (starhub postpaid apn) even for 4g access.

I think it depends. No experience with MyRepublic on this so take this with a pinch of salt, but my understanding is that eSIM is downloaded through QR code and the QR code can be used X number of times (Seems like MR allows 2 free downloads), so if you have used the QR code once only, I think this time round it would be free, but if it's 3rd time onwards then I think you need to pay.

I msg MR via FB and their response was " Yes, it will be an eSIM profile download since you will be downloading the new eSIM. " Looks like I will be sticking with nano sim for my main line as I do sometimes stick my sim card in other devices for testing purposes.
