On their 5G plan with an S23. Do you guys experience issues with stability when connected to 5G?

Like when it says 5G in the status bar but only the upward pointing arrow is lit up , and the phone fails load webpages etc.

I had similar issue on my S23 too.. After the sw update seems better... Maybe is that on intelligent wifi I have turn off the switch to mobile network option so far no airplane mode yet..

I am using Myrepublic 5G, last week, call have issues, resolved. Then no 5G. Now its back. Was at SAFRA TPY, cannot load anything. Cannot stand it anymore, going to port out.

Last week when I was at SAFRA TPY, StarHub 4G was only 1 bar.
Maybe defective antenna.

Now i overseas, to receive sms also need to pay for roaming ah?
I bought a local sim card le. But need receive bank sms.. I'm at taiwan

But it seems like CL 5G is less reliable than M1 5G too.

thats m1 in general so i tried to avoid too .. i never try m1 5g not sure too

I suspect the 5G connectivity issues are more towards limits imposed on MVNOs or are problems underlying when MVNOs tap on the combined network that's unresolved.

May be you guys wanna manual select MyRepublic as the telco network even if you are in Singapore! Don't opt for auto selection.

I do that for all telcos, be it SIMBA, VIFIFI, etc. It probably helps.

Did you turn on BOTH roaming on app and phone? I receive SMS all the time while in east & west malaysia. Also if you are using the MR phone app, remember to turn ON roaming while in Singapore, it won't work if you are already overseas (by turning ON roaming, you can receive and make calls while on data)

No leh. I never activate data roaming in app. I only need for MR sms coz i bought a taiwan sim card.
The talk app i can't use coz MR support says 5G plan (starhub) not enabled.
Now in tw, i can't even log onto any tw network. Emergency calls only

You should be able to get a Taiwan cell signal coz MYR plan includes Auto Roaming by default (Not the same as Data Roaming) to receive SMS/OTP with your MYR sim card.

Try to manual select network instead of lets it Auto Select in the "Mobile networks".

Tried all 3. The message is "the sim card does not allow a connection to this network". I read the faq seems like need a roaming add on?
Anyone on the 5g plan and can work here (receive sms) in tw without subscribing any add on?
