Thanks for the informative post.

Yes, came from TPG where it was showing "LTE" instead of 4G. Also, in TPG, the volte option was shown, so I thought it's something I needed to toggle in MR also.
SIMBA doesn't have their own carrier profile unlike Big Three. So they're using iOS default which requires everything to be enabled manually. Probably because additional features may impact battery life.

Meanwhile Big three have access and customize their own carrier profile.

Signed up 5G Standard Plan in store yesterday night, port-in from TPG happened in midnight. Indoor I am getting mostly 4G+, occasionally getting 5G, hope to try outdoors when I am out, using on Poco F4 GT.

That's the thing, the website supported device list doesn't have S23. Only up to S22. I asked CS to double check, told her the list maybe not updated... she say confirm list is latest and S23 not supported. So I say OK means I have to switch network. She said OK we respect your decision.. :ROFLMAO:

I am trying to upgrade from MR 4G to the 5G 100GB @ $19.95.

Any MyRepublic rep here can clarify?

I couldn't get the option to upgrade to the $19.95 5G 100GB plan on the app/website, that's why I had to contact CS. That's when she said my device not supported.

I can't upgrade without a CS help, so no choice but to switch I guess.

heya doesn't offer roaming .. and speed throttle is for local use only
Now even after opening up I oso seldom travel. I dont need roaming actually, usually buy a local sim card if needed.

Speed wise I think I'm fine as long as it loads. CL sometimes in certain places full bar reception oso not working
