1) MyRepublic airplane mode is mostly for the M1 network. If u use MYR 5G it is using StarHub network. Then no airplane mode.
Hi. I want to switch to MR for their my talk app. It seems that’s only available with 4g plans. Not sure why? Does that mean I will be on m1 network and suffer blackouts ?

MYR talk app is only for the 4G plans. I also tried to use MYR talk app for my 5G plan but not possible.

I upgraded from 4G plan to 5G plan, the voice app stays and I can use it on 4G / LTE / Wifi (didn't try it on 5G)

Have you tried downloading the app and using it when set to LTE?
Planning to jump to MR from m1 to make use of the Mytalk app to receive incoming call overseas on my number. Pls can someone advise

1. My main need is to receive incoming call overseas (free of costs as mins are covered in my plan). Does the mytalk app work well for thus

2. there are complaints that 4g network on m1 backbone is not good but 5g network which is on SH backbone is good. But if I switch of 5g or in areas without 5g, will it drop to SH 4g or m1 4g?

3. it seems the mytalk app is only on 4g. To get the best of all then, can I transfer first to 4g plan, activate mytalk app and then upgrade to 5g to be on SH network. Can someone confirm the mytalk app won’t break upon upgrade.
Thanks

MR talk works like a charm. And calling any number overseas didn't seems to be chargeble for me so far. Not even deducting my local airtime.

Only thing is if u forgot to do the call forwarding before your flight, then it's too late to turn on MR talk.

why is that ? can’t you do call forwarding once you reach your overseas destination?

2) Reverts back to SH 4G due to APN settings. But honestly speaking SH 5G SA is not very good for me on Pixel 6A. Not sure if it is network or phone issues but 90% of the areas I frequent could not connect to 5G. For daily usage my phone is set to LTE to reduce battery consumption.

3) Do check with MyR vendor on the app availability (4G plan or 5G plan) I see some folks says able to work some says doesn't, just scroll up to see previous postings. Hence best to check with vendor on this subject. The App is activated by sending a code locally in Singapore. Sending the code when overseas doesn't work so one has to activate the call forwarding function when still in Singapore.

My advice is, take the MyR 5G plan if needed eSIM & mytalk app if it is available for straight up signing 5G plan. However, if one doesn't mind physical SIM and prefers 5G network, go for Singtel & their MVNO. Singtel 5G NSA/SA plan coverage is very good.

If you need to receive calls while say in Malaysia, do you need to be connected to data? (MyRepublic Talk app)

My understanding is that MyR Talk app is only applicable to 4G as of now.
Correct me if my understanding is incorrect. Thanks.

Currently using S23 Ultra on MR 5G standard plan, Network seems to be 5G NSA at bedok interchange/mall area, but MR advertise as SA network, the NSA network is also ridiculously slow(slower than 4g) what happen ah? anyone else also liddat?, can force to use SA network or is the cheapest 5g plan NSA only

I too subscribed to MyR 5G standard plan and my device is also S23U, many places I went and tested, those areas where 5G are available will always be 5G SA, thus far never encountered NSA.
Maybe check if your device for SA is enabled.
