(4) MyRepublic $10 Lite - 6GB
(5) Giga $10 - 5GB
(6) CMLink $30 - 20GB

If I add all up, easily 237GB. I think to finish all need to download *ahem* video

Testing with the various networks. Most likely will be moving away from M1 come Nov/Dec this year.

Likely to have:

(1) Main Sim on Grid Mobile (Singtel) on first phone
(2) Second Sim on Giga (StarHub) on 2nd phone
(3) Third Sim on TPG to go with Grid Mobile

I find that M1 and its partners (MyRepublic and Circle Life) generally have better data/$ plans

Take for example, M1 has that $15 for 30GB in late 2019, $10 for 50GB add on for their current Sim only plan. Circle life has $48 (or $38 port in) for 100GB unlimited, MyRepublic $29 for 40GB.

What does this mean? It means an overloading of the network by heavy users.

i also encountered the same just now when i was signing up with their $10/mo plan. i tried calling hotline, was directed to a 'live chat' support. Live chat customer support not helpful. Only provide canned script answer. he says "All customers will be required to go through a verification credit check as part of the process. The credit check will indicate the eligibility for sign up, and the amount of deposit required, if any, depending on the outcome of our verification measures. This deposit will be refunded to you after you terminate your service with us and refund will take around 4 to 6 weeks to process."


same with you, i don't have any outstanding bills with singtel and starhub. wanted to get this plan for my kids. unfortunately, bad CSR and the deposit is a deal breaker.

Or perhaps you could add sign up the new line under your spouse name?

- How long take to port in? I GIGA plan cycle expires 1 May but not sure when to let MR deliver sim if i want port over
- How is the managed speed if you hit your 6gb quota!

Can ask MR to deliver the sim card on 2 May, the plan will start on 2 May, but the porting will start from 2 May 11pm onwards for a few hrs, meaning 3 May then can use the new MR sim card that has ur old #.

Don’t be so calculative.

Deliver by 25th April and activate by 29th April.

Remember, delivery may be missed for whatever reason and you need to pay another month for the previous Telco.

If deliver 30th, MR cannot port over as u r still under contract. If your contract ends on 30 Apr, then have MR deliver the SIM card to you on 1 May.

Delivery date = activation date. I do not see option to choose delivery and activation date differently. Maybe can buy I do not know.

I'm with GIGA no contract. So maybe 29 to be safe?

Cannot leh i am quite sure delivery date = start of billing cycle as check with CSO. Maybe suck thumb eat up 2 days just to port in. Honestly billing cycle start from 1st of the month is quite convenient but don't think GIGA will come up with new promo so might be forced to start from 29th etc

If you want to MyRepublic billing cycle to start on the 1st, you have to set delivery of SIM to 1st of the month. Upon delivery, do insert your sim to trigger activation and porting process. Your billing cycle will start 1st of the month.

Let me understand your giga plan, the billing cycle is 2nd of the month to 1st of next month? Or 1st of the month to end of the month?

Based on my experience a week ago when I ported one of my line to giga, I set delivery date as 1st April, immediately put in sim card to activate it. It was then still using temporary number.

On 2 April, the old number was successfully ported over. Billing date is set on 1st of the month.

So I guess, it works for MyRepublic too. I have a MyRepublic line, ported in years ago, I think it's also the same thing.

telcos should throttle heavy users for the benefit of rest of the subscribers
