Oh no. Sorry wrong thread. Hahah, I'm intending to change my primary number to giga new number. Come nov when my contract ends with M1, will fully change over to new giga number, would probably port somewhere else by then.

I see. but at the meanwhile giga $10 is not an attractive plan as compared to MR lite $10. Might as well switch the giga! number to MR lite and wait till Nov then.

Like that you keep one more MR lite limited time plan in case next time u need it too.

Hi guys, just received my new giga sim card, today is 20th of the month. If I wanted billing cycle to be on 1st of the month, can I delay activation to 1st July? So billing cycle will start 1st?

Anyone has experience in this?

Yes. Btw, giga billing cycle resets precisely on the time of activation too.

So example, if you activated the SIM on the 1st at 11.45am, your billing cycle will reset on every 1st of the month at 11.45am.

Yeah probably wait a month later then port to fully utilise the $12 I've paid. Understand lite plan is till 30th June. I'll see how. Agree giga $10 not attractive, but surely I'll port out soon, not staying with any starhub Telco.

Only 2, today got 1 more giga, so 3 for now. Intending to use the new giga number for primary line and terminate the other. So I will still have 2 lines . 1 personal and 1 work

MR lite $10 plan is perfect. It is the best plan that gives u the most for just $10. The 300 mins talktime and 300 sms are unbeatable. u have the option to add 10GB more at only $5.99 if u need more data which makes it only $15.99 for 16GB data. Since it is add-on can add or remove anytime while maiming the plan at the Low price of $10.

2nd number terminated.

and I had already received the invoice dated tmr which is the new billing cycle date for this terminated number.

strangely there were 4 minutes calls forwarded. i did not put this sim card inside any mobile phone all the time. i only put in to make outgoing to banks when my circles life main line was running out of talktime. I supposed this 4 minutes are the calls that go into voicemail?

besides, one super strange thing is that I had made multiple calls to both fixed and mobile lines in bolehland using the myrepublic talk app, but none of are recorded in bill. totally no IDD calls record in my final bill. so good. they give free IDD calls. haha. :D. this is already the final bill since i had terminated the line.

Can I check how you terminate, by messaging CSO? My billing cycle ends 30 June. Can I tell CSO to terminate on 30 June today?

i went thru the live chat. i chatted with them 2 weeks back to terminate the two numbers. once they had captured my termination request, the termination would be done on the last day of billing cycle automatically. And I could still use the line until then.

Not sure if you can terminate the line on the same day, maybe you live chat with them to confirm?

hi all,

quick question, i'm currently waiting for the port-in to be completed from MR Uno to Giga, in the meantime, do i need to insert my sim card for activation?

to my knowledge, once current (MR Uno) is unavailable for service, thereafter then activate my Giga SIM right?

also updating my status here for other users here:

1. signed up for giga & port-in works on 19/6, requested delivery to be on 22/6
2. received delivery at 1130am on 22/6
3. lost signal on my MR at about 830pm on the same day (22/6)
4. activated giga at night around 1am (23/6) - recurring bill as of every 23rd

no need. although from the instruction of activation, they ask u to put the sim inside phone and connect to wifi then activate via the giga app. in fact, this is totally not necessary, activation can be done purely on app without even inserting the sim card into the phone.

Yup. Just submit the request anytime now. MR is good which they allow delayed termination unlike other telco.

I read termination for giga! which is same also. Submit termination now can use the line until the end of billing cycle too.

I think the 4mins call forwarding is due to your MR Talk app usage? I remember reading that MR Talk app works by call forwarding.

I have ported my number from Zero 1 to MR more in April. Since then I have on-off problem receiving OTP for online payment. There were instances where I tried using 3 different credit card and requesting for OTP more than 8 times before only 1 OTP finally got through for me to make my payment. I have checked with MR CSO and their last advise to me was to inform the respective bank that MR is using M1 router for OTP whenever I have issues with receiving OTP which clearly is not the solution when we are overseas. Until now I'm still waiting for MR to iron out this problem or I may have to look for another telco soon.

I would like to hear if anyone face similar problem as mine?
