Don't think IDA got limit postpaid lines. But MyRepublic limit each NRIC to 5 MR lines only.

Thanks, was surprised when one of the telcos' CSO did not say this when I spoke to them; only mentioned the IDA limit for prepaid lines

Thanks for the heads up, I can see where you guys coming from

It's just that I don't see myself using roaming often (or even at all) whenever I travel but see myself using data on more than one device very often (which is why you see me asking a lot of questions about prepaid cards some time back) which is why I ported over; having two Uno lines and a CL Flex line for cheaper than what I am paying to current telco is more appealing to me at this point

And if things go really bad, I am mentally prepared to just shift back to other telcos

PS: I didn't get the third line from MR after all, decided that it won't make sense. Sorry

Question about international roaming on My Republic.

Does one's phone automatically connect to an international network abroad, even if one hasn't subscribed to a roaming add-on for the month?

Singtel does that for me right now, and is "always on" in a pay-as-per-use mode even if I don't have a roaming plan. Of course it has outrageous prices for text messages or any calling (incoming or outgoing). But the incredible beauty of it? I can get incoming texts to my Singtel number without a charge wherever that I am connected. That is way too valuable for me to give up. But if My Republic has a similar feature, I'll switch.

Yes. I was in Scotland England France 2 weeks ago. Did not sub to any data plan, it was automatically connected to a roaming network. Of cos I turn of data roaming to avoid using its data. No charges was incurred during my 2 weeks over there.

Go to the telecom that u want and tell them you want to port out the number to their telecom and u sign up the plan, wait for 1 day or midnight whichever comes 1st and you have ported out.
