First line telco is ST. But bundled with the home and all. Purpose of second line is for side line, sign ups, and the likes. in a way to keep my first line free from spam and unnecessary calls or texts

If first line ST; coverage is there already. I will leave it to you if you need to de-bundle.

Next will be, how much call time and data you need (sms I will leave it out)

High call time (>500mins) and high data - M1 or SH $25 for 30GB/1000mins

High call time and low data - Vivifi $8.80 3GB/500mins or MR $18 7GB/1000mins or Giga $10 5GB/100min add $1/100mins

Low call time and high data - Circle Life unlimited $48 100GB, Grid Mobile $17.90+$20 100Gb,

Low call time and Low data - MR $10 or Giga $10

hahah yes, see where you are coming from bro. thanks for the alternative perspective. i had signed for the tpg trial plan previously and the connection isnt too bad for my use, but when underground, or actually in the outskirts or corners of the country, the data seems to load real slow.

nonetheless, thank you to the bros here for the advices hahahah. still considering the options

TPG only has Full underground coverage at Thomson-East Coast Line only. The rest of traditional mrt lines like north-south line underground totally has no coverage at all.

Parts of North-East Line is covered alr, between Serangoon-Kovan tunnel all the way till Punggol.

Their schedule for full service in NEL is slated to complete by end-Q3 2020. Other tunnels by mid-2021.

Underground services are still WIP as stated on TPG's website. That's something that have to tolerate for the time being.

Outskirts/corners of the country, I think it is partially because of restrictions imposed by the govt, especially MINDEF/SAF. Reason why SingTel (and sometimes M1) have much better service in the ulu camps is because they are given green light to install base stations there, but for the two newer carriers, they may not.

Hmm then liddat, maybe TPG. Disable VoLTE. So nobody can call you via normal calls, max is SMS or WA/Tele etc.

Low to moderate data. Maybe MR or Giga. Hope TPG do launch even lower bundle plans at lower prices. 50GB maybe a little too much?

Yeah, some military bases are covered by certain while other telcos not so. M1 works in my base but not starhub.

I see. No wonder at outskirts and ulu parts, hard to get strong connection or even connection at times..

So maybe MR or giga then. Tpg was considered cos of the huge data bundle in the event I need. But reliability for me so far is 50-50

But to your point of them launching even lower bundle plans, I think they are launching this for a start to get the high data usage people at a lower cost. Then one stable for themselves, they might increase price (possibility?)

online sign-up delivery options are all 2 weeks later.

it is actually not bad thing for those who want to activate the line only later due to the existing contract with other telco only due later.

At least can sign up on the last day of promo and again only get the line activated 2 weeks later.

Maybe when go full coverage, $10 for 20GB, $15 for 40GB and $25 for 80GB.

Why would they want the same money for same data when their service is supposingly better? It has to be higher

Yup true that, but I’m saying for now they can launch such plans. Once completed coverage price increase is kind of expected for those new customer.

I think need to physically collect and sign. They mentioned something about you being present with your identification when the card comes

If you go to MyRepublic official stores, you can get the sim card on the spot and if you are doing porting, same day midnight the porting will be completed.
