how long is e porting from vivifi to mr
couple of iphone users here .. maybe able to adviseHi all,
I'm using iPhone 12 Pro Max currently on MyRepublic 4G esim. I know my device is not supported on MyR 5G, but don't mind upgrading if I can move over to StarHub network and use only 4G, I'm kind of tired of the data connectivity problems with M1. But I want to retain the esim usage. Does anybody knows if MyR 5G esim will work on my phone but I don't get 5G connectivity?
CSO says it won't work and I'll have to get a physical sim to be on Starhub 4G networks. Anyone tired this before?
Thanks in advance!
MR provides 2 free esim downloads, so you could potentially pay someone with a spare iPhone 12 just $3.24 to try out.Hi all,

tbh 2 esim download is not alot .. using physical sim is safer and unlimitedMR provides 2 free esim downloads, so you could potentially pay someone with a spare iPhone 12 just $3.24 to try out.![]()
Because iPhones only have 1 physical sim slot so it’s quite precious. That slot useful for overseas use.tbh 2 esim download is not alot .. using physical sim is safer and unlimited
yap thats the limitation ...Because iPhones only have 1 physical sim slot so it’s quite precious. That slot useful for overseas use.
Congratulations on your first virgin StarHub based airplane mode. I’ve been noticing airplane mode syndrome slowly increasing in occurrence on a giga line since last year. Looks like mvno lines from all 3 telcos experiencing the same issues now.i encountered my first blind spot aka airplane mode at clementi mall basement near KFC .. shows 4g and no data at all (kind of like my previous m1 experience) .. kind of frustrating ... place to avoid for me if i need to go down there =)

Not sure what is the conversation bt u and the CSO. But pls be aware that if u sign up purely on 4G plan, it is still under M1 connection. Only the 5G plan is under SH.Hi all,

Those who sign up for 5G plan but choose to use 4G will be under StarHub not m1Do take note that MR’s 4G network is by M1, only 5G is by StarHub.
I think the issue is that MR support is saying the non supported phones don’t work with the 5G SA eSIM.Not sure what is the conversation bt u and the CSO. But pls be aware that if u sign up purely on 4G plan, it is still under M1 connection. Only the 5G plan is under SH.
Actually I don't see what the problem. Sign up for MR 5G plan, get esim and turn off 5G on the phone.
In your case, if iphone 12 don't support 5G, then problem solve.

The APN remains with Starhub (shwap) whether on 5G or 4G, so your network stays with Starhub. You have source for this?
Agreed. The APN remains with Starhub (shwap) whether on 5G or 4G, so your network stays with Starhub.
If you are on the pure 4G plan, then APN is likely to be Sunsurf (M1)
My source is: myself. Went from the M1 4G plan and upgraded to 5G recently but switch phone to LTE only.
As mentioned above, get the 5G eSIM and just turn off 5G in Settings and it should be ultilising 4G connection by Starhub instead.Hi all,
