Welcome myself to MyRepublic 5G Plus Plan this evening! 😙 🤭

⬆️ Above Speedtest result was taken inside my bedroom!

⬆️ VoLTE1 is MyRepublic 5G SA and VoLTE 2 is SIMBA 4G!

Also, it's a blessing that my 2022's Samsung Galaxy A73 5G works perfectly on MyRepublic 5G SA network even though the A73 5G is not listed in the official supported models. :)

My 5G test results at home:

My house area is not under the StarHub's 5G coverage but the surroundings are! LPPL! :censored:

So, I'm good with the speed already considering that I'm living in a non-coverage area! 😙 ;)

Comparing it to SIMBA. SIMBA speed is under 10Mbps for Download and less than 1Mbps for Upload! Really CMI! 🤭

Nice to meet you here, bro! :D:LOL:

Well! MyRepublic 5G plan is a 5G SA, and not the "Not 3, Not 4" (as in Cantonese) 5G NSA! So, must hop and try it else my heart and soul cannot "rest" in peace! 🤭

Just check. You guys' phones have the option to use "Use 5G standalone networks" only?

My A73 5G has that option and I have enabled it.

similar to iPhones, drain more battery since it actively try to connect to 5GNR.

I see! That's the downside! Okay! Let me leave it ON and see how it goes.

Generally, charging battery fast/constantly is not an issue to me as I have a deskbound job! So, I may just leave it on! 😙

Ya. TP (buildings around the mrt area) is not that great.

Sitting at my desk or just outside my office building. The download speed is 410 max and the upload is 21 max.

Whereas at Aljunied MRT platform. I can get 710/60 max.

Give me at least one month to try MYR 5G SA to see if it is worth it.... Price verses the Practicality of 5G SA...

Else, a SingTel's backed MVNO with a 4G network would be just good enough!

Anyway, the porting process was fast and furious yesterday. :)

1815: Received sim card at home.
1825: Activated sim card via app.
2300: Previous telco line was disconnected for porting.
By 0200: My previous telco number was ported-in to MYR!

If you're already happy with 4G, I can guarantee you MR's 5G SA won't be worth it. ;)
True true! Got your point! We don't really need that 300Mbps+ kind of speed even for streaming.

Give MYR face to stay with them for at least a month...:D
