Why 5g so lousy? Knn! Worst than 4g? No wonder the price $19.90 for 100gb 5g. I thought got cheap durian

That's just the early adopter pains, just like how 4G was 10 years ago where 3G was superior in coverage and had better battery life.

Speedtest at Marina Bay Link Mall gave me DL 1069 Mbps and UL 71 Mbps just now.

iPhone 14 Pro Max. 5G Standard plan with an eSIM.

The deployment of the 5G network in SH is still in progress, and it may take 1-2 years before the coverage is on par with 4G. Presently, the indoor coverage for 5G in SH is limited, and there are days when it may be unavailable, as observed from my MR 5G.

May I check how do I cancel a MyRepublic line? Can’t seem to do it on the app.

Some already said earlier, go for MR 5G for the eSIM. Now time to switch to 4G SH network permanently

Jumped from M1 to Zero1 and now MR. IMO, most value for money 5G plan for now. Of course, speed and coverage generally can't fight with Zero1 (SingTel).

Only issue I noticed after moving out from M1, I no longer receive SMS sent via clickatell API.

I signed up for MR 5G precisely for the esim.

Does MR enable 4G CA (4G+) on their 5G SIM Cards? I'm getting 5Mbps on MR but 110Mbps at the same spot on StarHub. 5G speeds are on par with M1 5G.

Is the iPhone missing some 5G bands for StarHub in that article?

No. iOS just doesn't like connecting to 5G.

Anyway you can see how SingTel shot itself in their own foot with their peering lol

[gapboy]

i read ios6.4 fixes some 5g issues

Band n1 and n78 should be supported. I suspect they’re using 5G Auto, not 5G On.

No problem for me. 4G can get 100+Mbps.

[gapboy]

4g+ around 70-90+mbps ... 100+mbps hardly ... 4g only is much lower
