Trying to see if anyone knows about banking app in Malaysia. I tried finding UOB Tmrw Malaysia on play store but none comes out. Is it because I already downloaded UOB Tmrw Singapore already? Same thing for shopee Malaysia. Why cannot find?

For Lazada's case it is by changing country in settings.
Previously also tried to find Shopee Malaysia app when using Android but it is not available to download as a separate app.
Also not sure if there is a "change country" setting.

It's very funny. On my son's phone, I can download UOB Tmrw Malaysia and Shopee Malaysia. His Google account can do it. I don't know what's the difference between mine and his.

your Google/apple account might be singapore.

if using iphone need create new or change your apple id and set app store to malaysia region.

On android, create new google account, but ip address from malaysia can already. Make sure you don't enter any payment details/card/google gift as that will set your account (regardless of ip) to the country.

How do I set the Google account to Malaysia? But if I do this, will it mean my backup from phone to Google account will be in new google account?

Think you are heading in the wrong direction. I am sitting right here in Southern Singapore and just found the "UOB TMRW Malaysia" app on my Google Pixel 6A which is running on ZYM $10 Plan (Singtel network).

Perhaps you should look at Android version your phone is on. Many apps won't download if you are on a older version.

UOB TMRW Malaysia now requires phone to be at least on android 10 and above.

UOB TRMW (Singapore) only needs phones to be at least on android 8 and above.
