For kernels, in terms of performance or batt savings, honestly I don't feel any diff between stock, perseus or neak. Never tried Note2Core so can't comment but based on the thread itself, Note2Core seems to have the least features so I can Cah't be bothered with trying it.

If u like SQ, then Perseus is probably a bit better cos there are tweaks for audio equalizer and also the speaker... don't remember NEAK having those tweaks, but NEAK can do more stuff in terms of hotplugging and like manually controlling the number of cores and all that advanced stuff. And NEAK can control the charging current for USB and AC, which STweaks can't.

When I installed the rom, I didn't see any DPI adjustment, I know it's supposed to be there because I've read about it, but somehow I didn't see it at all. Anyway my DPI is at 320 according to my build.prop and I'm not sure if that's the default one or not also. I suspect it is because everything looks the same as stock. I've previously read about changing the DPI will not allow the Market to work or certain apps can't be downloaded or something like that. And existing apps might also work funny if you change the DPI. Changing the DPI basically makes the stuff on the screen smaller or bigger.

Thanks i'm currently running the latest perseus.

Just wondering if you guys undervolt your processor?

i believe other than some systemlevel tweaks in the diff kernels, you can only see improvements (batt improvements over stock kernel) if you do voltage tweaks

read a post last time on xda where a guy did some real testing of his phone and underclocked (UC) it and the end result was the savings were so little that it was quite pointless and not worth the instability when you go to the extreme UC because you had the risk of more often reboots and just 1 or 2 reboots would wipe out the batt savings that you painstakingly built up.

is it important to do a factory reset after flashing the new firmware?

why not.. nowadays so easy to back up your old stuff, doing a factory reset allows u to start with a clean slate so if things screw up later, u won't be thinking if it's a bug with the new fw or the fact that u didn't factory reset when u upgraded. At the very least you should wipe cache and clear dalvik.. assuming u got custom recovery la.

ExynosAbuse is amazing for one tap rooting and I love it! Reminds me of JailbreakMe. Couldn't care less about the exploit though. I easily rooted an original international Galaxy Note with this!

[ROOT EXPLOIT+PATCH][2012.12.19] ExynosAbuse APK v1.40 - xda-developers

:s12::s12::s12:
it didn't work for me..
on SGP MM1 N7105XXDLL7 N7105OLBDLL2 release.
However, it was working on the Sweeden version..(the Sweeden version do not allows LTE to be off...thus higer batt consumption..looking for bandwidth)

Nice.. The root via exynos exploit bug method does not work on firmware version LL7 means the exynos exploit has been fixed by Samsung.

ya, when i first tried it, i UC it until it froze..

i am still trying it out, and getting the right voltage and CPU settings. i also like the idea that we can tweak the CPUs and GPU frequencies so that it will not run at full speed unless something else triggers it
