Okay, will need to "refresh" it will the latest libraries release before posting it, probably on mediafire site. Instruction will be simple, just need to run 1-2 script and you're good to go.

Forgotten to add, if you have setup Transmission previously do remember to remove the 2 folders, namely /mnt/HD/HD_a2/Downloads and /mnt/HD/HD_a2/.transmission-daemon before you start.

Sry but could you reupload the file? seems to be blocked by Mediafire.

Also, thanks a lot for the help!

Edit: clicking the hyperlink failed but pasting the link into the address bar seems to work. Strange but thanks a lot once again!

Don't understand why Mediafire doesn't allow posting of URL link from within forum site. Anyway, edited and posted a note on this.

Please be more specific. After executing the first script, sshd is still not active until you restart NAS or start it manually.

Sry. What i meant was that i executed both scripts and restarted but accessing ssh through putty did not work.

Trying to install it again now. Maybe i screwed up somewhere just now.

Edit: Yep, ssh does not work. Putty states "network error, connection refused". the ffp log says "Starting /ffp/sbin/sshd
/ffp/var/lib/sshd must be owned by root and not group or world-writable."

Do take note that the first time you access via SSH will take sometime as the key is being generated.

Is telnet still working? Or is Transmission running?

Transmission was running on the 1st go i installed it.
I cleared everything just now for the reinstall. Now it just hangs at the web interface. I see the buttons and all that to add torrents etc, but nothing can be selected. (Edit: I suffer a connection timeout with transmission now)

Telenet works fine.

the ffp log did show the key being generated but activating ssh failed as stated previously, with "Starting /ffp/sbin/sshd

/ffp/var/lib/sshd must be owned by root and not group or world-writable.""

Is the executing bit of /ffp/start/sshd.sh set? Also check ffp.log to verify is sshd is indeed launch.

Was wondering how you go about clearing the ffp folder in the first place?

i delete it with the file manager on the dlink web interface.

"sh-4.1# ls -l /ffp/var/lib
total 16
drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 Dec 28 2011 hwclock
drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 Dec 16 2011 locate
drwxrwxrwx 4 root root 4096 Dec 29 2011 nfs
drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 Dec 30 2011 sshd
"

So is SSH working now?

For me if I need to test out another FFP installation, I merely rename the existing folder from the shell or via samba. Just need to made sure that no active daemon is running in case there are open files.

Nope, SSH still doesn't seem to be working.

Strange indeed, others have reported FFP (I assumed SSH as well) working for them.

Well, without more info on this, can't really assist with the diagnostic.
