the NAS itself can detect the hdd, as there is a blue light indicator.

my set up, using home plug as the main modem is not in my room
Aztch home plug, wired to my NAS

or should i use a switcher for it?

IIRC starting from firmware 2.01 onward, P2P folder is hidden from samba view but it is accessible via Shared Folder. In short just create a Shared Folder pointing to actual p2p folder and assign permission accordingly.

what do you mean reset to zero? I would note that the BT app is rather buggy. But leaving it alone and in the long run seems to get the job done. I restart the share centre when it seems to be stuck though

My advice is to dump the inbuilt BT client and switch to Transmission instead, the former can't even be use for seeding if one has account on private sites.

anyone has a guide on how to install transmission? i tried using DNS-320 -FunPlug 0.7 + Transmission

But i ended up getting this error which floods the transmission log and makes it hang up. "tr_crypto error:24064064:random number generator:SSLEAY_RAND_BYTES:pRNG not seeded (crypto.c:113)".

I found some stuff on a hungurian forum saying to enter
"
rm /dev/random
rm /dev/urandom
mknod -m 666 /dev/random c 1 8
mknod -m 666 /dev/urandom c 1 9 "

into ssh, which seems to help, but i really have no idea what's going on.

Are you trying to compile Transmission yourself? Seem like you have issue with SSL libraries.

Installation is very straightforward, I even "modded" FFP to include Transmission and automate some initial setup tasks. Will put it somewhere if anyone interested to try out.

I'm actually pretty new to ssh and the entire system. Tried installing transmission through googling and the like so I don't really know what I'm doing actually. Tried to install sane to get my hp all-in-one printer working but that sorta turned out as a disaster too.

Would be great if you could post your modded FFP somewhere with some simple instructions :)

Okay, will need to "refresh" it will the latest libraries release before posting it, probably on mediafire site. Instruction will be simple, just need to run 1-2 script and you're good to go.
